We were taking the scenic drive down route 7 on the way home from a Vermont Wedding and after passing many places on the potbound route saw Chauncey's on the side of the road and pulled in. Named after the owners English Setter, the people who greeted us and served us hat that wonderful charm you'd expect a setter's owner... More

Real country atmosphere. They have a bird watching section, complete with binoculars for nature enthusiasts. The food is freshly prepared and very good; like home cooked. Dinners on weekends only; lunch and breakfast daily.

Visited here while spending the weekend at West Mountain Inn. It was a short drive from the Inn. The prices are fantastic. The service was good. It took a pretty long time to get our food, but we weren't in a rush so not a big deal. I ordered a burger cooked medium, it came out very well done. I... More

We had been traveling for a while and needed food and a place to chill for a while. We found this place - it was really cute - all decked out for the holidays - super sweet. Unfortunately, when we walked in saw the sign to wait to be seated, so we did as told. 2 different servers made made... More

The food was wonderful! The atmosphere was good! The only problem we had was the people they sat next to us wore massive amounts of perfume, to which we are allergic. We left without dessert because of that! Other than that, it was a pleasant lunchtime.

Stopped in for dinner recently and really enjoyed our evening. We were seated promptly in a nice dining room decorated with nostalgia from Normen Rockwell and other local history. The menu has a great selection from down home country pot roast to an extensive list of burgers. Portions are ample and wait staff was very friendly. The chef came out... More

Ate dinner since was close to our bed/ breakfast. Never saw so many burger options and mine was good. Overheard diners raving about pasta dish. Also some local stories were heard about Norman Rockwell connection. Service a bit slow but waitress seemed to have too many tables. Although worth the time time

What a wonderful surprise! After a stop at the Sugar Shack, Hubby was graving pancakes and maple syrup. Sugar Shack recommended Chaunceys and they were not wrong. Hubby loved his cakes and syrup. My quiche was wonderful and so worth the stop. But too top off our visit. Ms Lucille, the model for Norman Rockwells "The Babysitter ", and Mother... More
