I was in town with my husband for business and decided to try this bakery based on reviews on Yelp. We were glad we gave it a try! We had a chocolate cupcake with a cheesecake type top and a piece of pecan pie. That was one of the best pecan pie we have tried - even the crust was... More

I just moved to Austin a year ago. I have been to this bakery several times. I love to stop for coffee and a pastry. The coffee is great and the baked goodies I have tried have been delicious. My only complaint is based on my last visit in October. I met a friend for coffee before work. The guy... More

This place was recommended by employees at TSBVI. We visited mid morning. I had a oatmeal muffin that was very good. Quiche looked amazing as well as all the pastries and coconut cream pie. I will go back to this place, next time for the pie!

I have really liked Upper Crust but when I tried the Pain au Chocolat and a Croissant, which were bready and not pastries made up of buttery mille feuilles, I was truly disappointed. They look delicious but appearances are deceiving. The prices are reasonable but the flavor is not top notch. However, we did purchase cupcakes and they were good.... More

In the late '80s through 2000 Upper Crust was the go-to bakery for me and all of my friends. We had their croissants and coffee almost daily and often lunch consisting of sandwiches or soup. Every bridal shower or birthday any of us had included a Gateau Marisa cake, a cake you'll dream about! Upper Crust was on top of... More

What an expensive disappointment It's a far cry from Best Buns in Metro DC ... But it's also closer... The whatever this is was described as a STICKY BUN... Not sticky just a big piece of Dough, the coffee is sour tasting...,and the bottom of the cup was filled with grounds...

In my years living in Austin I did my best to try all the bakeries around. This one was by far my favorite. I often got cookies, cinnamon rolls, lentil soup, and fresh sandwiches here. I also love that they don't have wifi so you're not surrounded by people acmping out on laptops- or at least if someone *is* working,... More

BEST chocolate cake - my husband's favorite. My only negative was the service when I picked up the cake - not overly welcoming - and the folks in line behind me were just rude.

I am local to Austin and the Upper Crust is a favorite place for pastries. My very favorite is the cinnamon roll, I have had several of the other pastries but the cinnamon roll is a must for any visit I make.

This place not only has great desserts, but great home made sandwiches. Good selection of drink items, too. This is a regular Sunday brunch kinda place for me. Store front windows - great views, lots of sunshine!
