Casual atmosphere, excellent service, interesting and tasty food. Appetizer platter had a variety of Brazilian dishes, quite a bit of food. Chicken Paella was a hit, as was a shrimp dish-can not remember the name. Many other choices of Brazilian food.

This is our favorite place to go for dinner, and it has been for about 7 years. From drinks to dinner, there are wonderful choices for every taste. You can have light nibbles, fresh soup (made in small batches just for your order), salads, Mexican, and Brazilian specialties. Everything is so fresh—I would compare it to home cooking. Everything is... More

Walked in and the waiter told me that the electricity was out. They had some back up and could serve about everything except Ice Tea! I have nachos, my friend had quesadillas. Both were outstanding! The service was exceptional and food good enough to go back for. Was so surprised at the quality - it is so close to the... More

I have been here many times & love every dish I've tried! The servers are friendly & knowledgeable about the menu. For some reason it's rarely crowded, so you don't have to wait for a table. If you're by yourself you can sit at the bar comfortably. The food is unlike anything else in Austin!

I am Brazilian and have been a regular at São Paulo's since moving back to Austin last January. The food is mostly good, though inconsistent, but the issue here is definitely the service. As someone who has worked in restaurants since I was 12 years old up until recently, I am understanding of the demands of the job and always... More

Four of us went and had an excellent dinner, each of us chose a different entree. Salmauo de consuelo was absolutely delicious! Fish with pineapple....pistoachio encrusted ....was so tasty too. We recommend this for everybody! Brazilian food is so yummy!!

First night in Austin. Wanted something different. Sao Paulo delivered. Fantastic place. Great service and great food. The Brazilian menu was a little overwhelming at first, but the server made it a great experience. The place has a very plain look, but the food is definitely not plain. Right across the street from the U of Texas.

Sao Paulo's Brazilian/Mexican restaurant offers a diverse menu, with vegetarian options in a comfy/casual environment. I went on a Friday and enjoyed their Bobó de Camarão, a signature dish consisting of shrimp, yucca, and peppers in a coconut cream sauce. I tasted a hint of saffron. The varied wine menu is nice, including Spanish, as well as California wines. Lastly,... More
