Went to Pacific Star grill was a little early not much going on, was seated nice little waitress tool are drink order, we decided on cup of gumbo & catfish flay. The gumbo was excellent!!!!! Fish was good also!!! Very good food !!!! Oh when I left the place was packed!!!!
This little gem is considered Austin's best kept secret! Food is always always good. Gumbo is the best I've had! Shrimp skewer is wonderful. Pacific Special is good too. Draft beer is reasonably cheap. I'm not an oysters fan, but have seen quite a lot of people chowing down.
This place isn't going to be for everybody, but I make it a point to frequent it especially during crawfish season. I asked about the pet policy and they advised there were no pets allowed but somehow no one noticed this guest walk in with her "seeing eye dog" on a leash. Won't be coming back,... More
This small, unpretentious café with covered deck on the 183N access road is not impressive - until you eat! Fresh oysters, grilled fish special, and etouffee were all marvelous. The owner and staff are friendly and most helpful - we'll be back.

This Mexican owned and run family restaurant has been in business for at least 20 years (that I know of). This isn't gourmet, but it's solid feel-good seafood that reminds you of an old fashioned place on the gulf. Fresh oysters and great fried offerings make this place fun; but if you get some of the broiled seafood specials they... More
