You have many barbecue options in Austin. Some are over rated, some are sterile. Ruby's is funky, quirky, and delicious. We tend to put a lot of sauce on our barbecue, which sometimes masks the quality of the meat. I always get the sliced beef (brisket) at Ruby's - they use beef free of hormones and antibiotics. It's not always... More

The staff was really friendly, we ordered the brisket with the potato salad and coleslaw, and it was one of the best I had. It is kids friendly with a great kids menu.

We went there after a long and exhausting day at SXSW and found a relaxed, laid back yet tasty place. We were excited about the brisket, short ribs and fixings. Will come back next year!

Counter service but food prepared to order and served at your table. Meal served on butcher paper along with condiments. Only water and tea is self service. Staff were friendly and patient with first-timers. Good parking on a slow day. Potato salad was chunky german style but lacking much taste.

Rudy's is the best chain BBQ in town. If you don't feel like driving to Opie's or Cooper's, then Rudy's is the place. The moist brisket is awesome! The St Louis ribs are also top notch.

I went to ACL fest and found this place while I was looking for a snicker store. Let's begin with excellent and helpful attention to my questions about the meal's weight and ingredients. Then, I received my order of brisket and sausage and it was AMAZING!! One of the best brisket I've tasted!! Great experience!

When you live in CA and your daughter decides to attend UT in Austin you get a great chance to try food that you won't usually get to have. After 5 years in school, I feel as though I am well educated in Austin cuisine. By far, my favorite restaurant of any kind is Ruby's. the sauce is just delightful.... More

Stop by the place, it is clean, well run, and has happy employees. I tried the brisket, turkey, ribs, potato salad, creamed corn, and chocolate pudding (was sharing with friends so don't judge) :-) It really is worth checking out and is great for large groups as well. I see people saying this place isn't as good as this or... More
