The gumbo was delicious. The French bread was soft, not crisp. The tuna looked great but the salad was very old. I asked for another salad and got more old and moldy salad. The location is great.

From the outside, it looks like a bar where you'd be able to count all the teeth in the joint on one hand! But, the clientele were of all ages and walks of life. The staff were friendly and very helpful. We had great conversations...More

This place used to be awesome. We went last night and got the smallest oysters ever. I don't know what is going on, perhaps a financial crisis?

Huge back porch on the creek- food truck with crawfish and lots of beer choices- great start. One of us had a great hamburger and the others had the crawfish etouffee. Never had it with “blonde” roux - but it was terrific. Service was perfect....More

Great spot for some beer and crawfish in Austin. Nothing fancy, just some good people and good food. Nice to sit on the outdoor porch when the weather is nice.

The Cajun gumbo had a good flavor, although the andouille sausage was quite bland. The fried spicy green beans are deep-fried with a coating; although they were tasty, they certainly aren't for the diet-conscious. We split a huge oyster po' boy sandwich; the oysters were...More

This sounded like a fun place to have a beer and some good food. We had both. And at a very reasonable price. Not only was the food good but the staff were very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our meal and drinks. When it...More

At first glance, the restaurant looks like any other business in a shopping strip. The large New Orleans Saints helmet on the roof and the Saloon with the Texas Star sign gives the restaurant an air of authenticity. I started with the Boudin Balls as...More

I have been going here for dinner and lunch for years. The quality is suffering. Not only are the prices increasing $19.99 for a dozen of gulf oysters, but they were so tiny. Compared to Quality Seafood they size and price are lacking the quality...More

Absolutely; we see families in there all the time. The kids can play shuffleboard or look for turtles in the creek while the grown-ups talk.
