Rosie's gas been a must on all our trips to the Austin area for 35 years. Rosie is no longer there but family members carry on with fantastic food and gracious hosts. My favorite is the cheese enchilada dinner.

If you want to go back 20 years, this is the place - no changes for the last 20-30 years when we first went to Rosie's. They ran out of chips; never heard of that before in a Mexican restaurant. The service was very good,...More
Been eating here since the early '90s. Always have the cheese enchiladas and a taco. The rice and bean portions started shrinking a long time ago. Their cheese enchilada gravy had always been the best of the best until they started using poor quality beef....More
Been eating here since early 80's and it's still just as good as when I was a kid. No liquor license means BYOB, but that's fun too.

I have eaten here several times and also at its previous tiny location. It has just dropped down in my opinion due to the need to get a lot of things out fast. Today I stopped to go in but then it looked closed. Only...More
My 4 rating is based on the traditional aspect of Rosie's. I love it. No modern trappings. Just pure linoleum table cheezy atmosphere Tex-Mex. But killer TexMex ! Try the Willie's Plate. It's just the right selection and mix. Yes- Willie eats here too. Great...More
I almost hate to write this review because you can see that the owners and staff are doing their best. They are very nice. The hot sauce and queso taste out of a can. The nachos were made on taco shells broken in half with...More
