This is tucked away in a plaza, so it’s hard to see from the main road, but it also means there’s plenty of parking. While there’s a small patio seating area, the interior space was nicely laid out in order to provide an intimate but casual setting. There were a lot of soft surfaces to help minimize the noise, but... More

Great food, but not great service. Satay has been in Austin forever, and I've been there many times but never noticed the ow service before. Food was great. My wife and I both had seafood dishes. I love their peanut sauce!

Been going to Satay for years and have no reason to change our mind. They have several dishes that I love, but I try a new one every other visit. I like that it is fairly quiet and always delivers a tasty meal. The prices are perhaps a bit higher than some, but I also know the owner puts a... More

Really tasty food and great professional service. It's hidden in a little strip mall and It's rarely crowded. Try the Ga-Ree for awesome curry chicken.

I really enjoy this restaurant. The folks who run it are very kind, you are never rushed, the menu is extensive w/o being overwhelming. Go there - you will like it

We visited this place for dinner after hearing good things from friends. It is pricier than other thai places in town and we did not get the value for the money. Seating is uncomfortable, service is mediocre and presentation is also not much to talk about. It would have been OK with 40% off Groupon but at full price, I... More

My wife lived in Thailand and she raves that this is the most authentic Thai food in austin. The green curry is spicy and flavorful. The Tom ka gai is yummy and perfectly seasoned with that line leaf tang that makes it unique. Try this place. It's worth the trip

We stopped here as we had a discount coupon. This was not the best Thai we have had in Austin hence the 3 stars and the service was kind of spotty. I would probably have given it a lower 2 rating but the owner's came to the table and we had a very nice conversation. My wife was disappointed in... More

I was a little worried when I sat down waiting for my customer. When I asked the waiter for a drink the waiter/bartender, she hesitated and said they didnt have all the mixes normal bars had and would get me a list of drinks they specialize in. Drink list was good, but ordered a vodka martini, Only domestic beer was... More

We have been going to the Satay Restaurant for many years. Hands down it is the best in Austin. We lived in Bangkok in the early 70's and fell in love with their food. We now eat 'Thai' rather than 'Chinese'. Dr. Foo is an incredible person. Recognized for her culinary skills worldwide. I have never known a chef who... More
