One of our go to places, Kim Phung as been there many years, and IMHO much improved since their remodel. Now, more in the cafeteria style, the food is as good as ever, and that is saying something. Large portions (I am eating my leftovers from dinner last night as I write this), free egg rolls if you time it... More

Like many longtime customers, we were sad when the original version of Kim Phung closed because of a fire, but were joyful when it reopened. Some may not like the "modernized" version with counter ordering and table delivery, along with a somewhat cafeteria-like atmosphere, but the pho is still outstanding. We especially love the Duck-leg pho, which can be ordered... More

Kim Phung is a great place for Vietnamese Ban Mi sandwiches. The drawback to this restaurant is there is no atmosphere and it works more like a deli. You place your order and pay for it at the counter. They do bring the food to your table and check to see if you need anything additional but since you have... More

Haven't been in since new ownership. Everything has changed. Ordered shrimp vermicelli and it was bland. Pretty much noodles with rice thrown on top. Pho tasted weird. Spring rolls were good.

Always a must still has a unique smell. Best spring rolls. Love it Beef w lemongrass just as it was in the 1991. Prices are still the same. Don't forget the fish sauce 25$. For two

Enjoyed the Vietnamese vegan pho here with vegan broth. The vegan egg rolls are also delicious. Very friendly place also.

The menu at this restaurant is a little unusual. It's a blend of Vietnamese, Chinese, Thai and perhaps some other cuisine as well. I go for the pho. It's the best I've had anywhere. I crave it when I haven't had it in a while. (I get the brisket and sirloin pho.) I've tried other things on the menu and... More

Today was the first time I had been to Kim Phungs, historically my favorite Vietnamese/Chinese restaurant in Austin, in quite a while. Their remodel since the fire is well done. However, it's more of a cafeteria line now where you place your order before you sit. A wee bit of confusion in getting the order correct and I failed to... More

Recently renovated & remodeled, this longtime lunch favorite of ours really came through at lunch today. Great job of reinventing a place we had enjoyed for the past 20 years after about 6 months down time for a long overdue "spiffing up". My daughter and I shared a large Hot & Sour Soup and an order of Chicken Fried Rice(that's... More
