Went here with a group of friends to try a better dining experience while we were in the area. After a local recommendation we decided on wink and went for the 7 course tasting menu with wine. The first course was actually rather excellent with good sashimi and the missus of citrus and pepper going very well. However it was... More

We made a reservation four our anniversary. It is an intimate place so be prepared for a rise in the noise level as the seats fill. Our waiter was engaging and attentive even with a large 10 top. We really enjoyed the 5 course tasting. It started off with a quail egg amuse bouche. This is a farm to table... More

Everyone had been raving about Wink in Austin so my husband and one of our close couple friends decided to give it a go. The location is in a small, old retail plaza - very laundromat esque. My husband's first comment when walking in was that it smelled like your grandmother's closet. The food was pretty good but super high... More

As always the food here is outstanding. This is our third trip here for an anniversary celebration. My beef"tataki", think slightly seated, was delicious, the mussels were outstanding, as was the roasted red pepper soup. Moving on to entrees, my husband is an avid sweetbreads fan and they did not disappoint. My venison was tender and the sauce was very flavorful. The hanger... More

We absolutely loved Wink. They have wonderful multi course dinners and wine pairings or items can be ordered a l carts. Food quality was superb and fresh, lovely presentation and spot on service. If you are looking for a fine dining farm to table experience, this is your place. We had the seven course tasting menu with the wine pairings which included hamachi sushi, seared scallops, fried red fish, duck breast, red deer tenderloin and a wonderful chocolate desert. Everything was fabulous and our server, Brad, we excellent. Cannot believe that this was... More

We had an enjoyable dinner here. I had the beef tartare which was delicious. This was followed by sweetbreads which melted in my mouth. I had the cheese plate which was a nice finish to the dinner. My husband had the duck breast which he rated 4 out of a possible 10. He said it was tough and had too... More

This restaurant reaches for fine dining but falls short on food, location and space. The foie gras appetizer dish was delicious, beautiful, interesting and balanced. Yet, the skirt steak was burned rather than seared. The overall dish was boring and badly cooked. The lemon meringue pot desert was ok but didn't rise above chain restaurant quality (think Applebees). So, it... More

It's a little hard to find, but worth the effort. The menu range from lite and raw to gamey and slow cooked. The flavored are complex and clean, but the chef has a sweet tooth, all dishes had a sweet element. While it was interesting, i thought the sweet was out of balance on the sashimi.

Been here a couple of times over the past 4-5 yrs and every meal has always been excellent. Was it the best meal ever? Perhaps not the entire meal but the foie gras certainly counts in the top 3 best foie gras ever. In fact I have ordered the foie gras as an appetizer and back as a dessert during... More
