Frank has a great atmosphere. Many beer choices. And vegan and vegetarian options. My boyfriend and I ordered several things to share. The chili cheese waffle fries, a vegan dog, and the notorious PIG. Everything was delicious.

Frank is an extremely basic bar and hotdog-type joint in busy downtown Austin with half the tables being the high-top type. The menu features primarily alcoholic drinks and sandwiches. The room is fairly well-lit by the ample windows. Our server, Andrew M, was abrupt and impatient. He never refilled our water glasses and did not ask if we wanted dessert.... More

Went in for their coffee only as they claimed to have "Austin's best coffee". I wanted a latte and the guy said that they don't have an espresso machine anymore so got just a coffee. It came lukewarm and sour-tasting. Really bad taste. Paid 3.2$ and left it on the table. I hope everything else is better there...

Perfect for a working lunch. Nice atmosphere, great sausages! Just see how many people there, it means they like it. Suggested

After walking downtown & hitting different bars it was time to eat. We were referred to Franks, and we very pleased. We loved the hot dog- really, really good. I had the soft pretzel- it's huge (about 8" x12"!) nothing fancy, not expensive ,... just good food!

Great variety of gourmet sausages. Went with a group for dinner but I think the fare is better suited for lunch. Had the alligator sausage with crawfish and remoulade and it was perfect. The flavor combination was out of this world. The fries with gravy and cheese curds had a few of us wondering why we hadn't thought of it,... More

If you like hot dogs you'll love this place. I got the mac n cheese dog and it was quite good. Had a bloody mary to go along with it. My one critique was that the flavors got a little muddy, but it was still good. Would recommend.

I had a vegan chili cheese dog. It's was awesome!! They also have vegan sausage. And for you meat eaters - tons of options. The place is very cool and has a full bar. I was on business so didn't try the drinks. The staff was fantastic - courteous, friendly, knowledgeable. Just all around nice experience!

Dogs were good but when we got home with our food we were missing our veggie options for our daughter. Too busy and too far back to return on a Sat. night Feb. 18th.
