I have been here many times and mostly sit in the bar area where I experienced too many poor service in the restaurant seating area. Today decided to try again sitting in the restaurant. Someone came by to drop off chips and salsa. Our waitress showed up and took our drink orders and seems like Chuy's is pushing alcohol by... More

Waited more than 40 minutes to get seated, then received very ordinary Tex-Mex food. Service was lackluster, but much better in the bar while waiting. Margaritas were good; food was served in large portions with little flair or flavor.

Chuy's food is always great and the atmosphere is fun! Great place to take friends or family who are visiting! I've never had a bad experience at any of the many Chuy's locations in Austin!

Okay, that's my opinion, anyway. their food is good, and actually i really like Chuy's. They are always crowded, so allow yourself time to wait in line. I love the outdoor seating. and i have always had stellar service there. Waitstaff is friendly and helpful.

This restaurant is an Austin staple providing not just Tex-Mex food but a little Keep Austin Weird flavor to it. It is now a chain but still the same. Outside is colorful but wait until go inside. Make sure to check out the funny shirts on the wall and if not with kids then hang out in bar area. The... More

Prickly pear margaritas, free nacho bar at happy hour, and enough green chili to make me feel like I'm back home in New Mexico! Bartenders are excellent and Uber friendly, sat at bar noshing on queso and chips waiting on to go order, and enjoyed myself immensely, kind of sorry when order arrived. Yea Chuys, been coming here for 28... More

Tex Mex here is just OK. 2 stars for the salsa and chips. Fairly overpriced. Very noisy. Has a reputation as a great place for Tex Mex, but that's over rated. I think it's more of a place to be noticed at and say you've been there, rather than a destination for great food.

We visited this establishment today since we saw they were having several Hatch Green Chili specials. Having spent 9 years in New Mexico we love Green Chili. Once there I was the only one who ordered a Green Chili dish and I had the "Steak Burrito" smothered in Hatch Green Chili. The other parties ordered "Soft Beef Tacos" and a... More

I think this place is pretty average. I have had a couple different things off the menu. I thought the burritos covered with the vegi cheese sauce and chili con carne was pretty good. Not big fan of their enchiladas but liked most of their stews and soups. Not bad not great but ok.

I wanted authentic Tex Mex while visiting and I was very impressed with Chuy's. The food was good, the portions decent, the service was attentive. Can't go wrong here.
