Can't report on the food. We gave up after waiting 45 minutes for our order. The salsa was ok though.

We we're pleased with both our meals. I had the vegetarian enchilada with red sauce. Hubby had the Saturday dinner special. The server said they use white cheese and lard free beans to accommodate vegetarians...which made me happy. Will definitely stop in again before heading Westward ho. We seemed to be the only tourists the other dinners were local. The... More

They have great food and the service is fairly slow Bailey because the Cook staff are fairly slow. The good thing is that the food is good enough that people are willing to wait for their order.

I rushed in here with high expectations...I had just arrived in town from a 5 hour drive and hadn't eaten all day, and was more than ready for a great meal...unfortunately, I was disappointed. They let me order the Mexican plate off the lunch menu, even though it was supper time, so I could try a wide variety. That was... More

We had an Enchilada Plate and Fajita plate. Got our food to go since we had a pet with us. The portions were large and the food was very good.

This place is one block south of the train depot, and is probably the best Mexican food in Alpine. The service is very slow (took us 45 minutes to get our order), but when it got there it was great. I had the flat green chicken enchiladas, my wife had the egg battered and grilled chile rellanos. Both were good.... More

At the onset let me explain that tex-mex has different flavors from different regions and this is different than I am used to. I ordered the beef tex-mex enchiladas with red sauce and an order of chips and salsa. Chips were crispy and thicker than average. The salsa is made with green chiles. It has a great flavor but not... Too bad that the reviews consistently observe the slow slow service, because the food was really tasty. The one server was friendly and considerate; there was simply no food to bring out from the kitchen. It took 43 minutes to get our food after we ordered. My granddaughter nearly fell asleep at the table! Please invest in a kitchen helper... More
