I will comment on Octoboy not as a Japanese restaurant but as a place to drink because that was my purpose going in there one August Friday. It was a rainy Friday. The restaurant is located in Tomas Morato corner Scout De Guia and if you are aware of that stretch of restaurant filled road finding a parking space is... More

We were so hungry and were craving for Takoyaki thus we decided to go to this place. We arrived 8:10pm but our food was served 9pm... To think we just ordered miso soup and takoyaki balls! Miso soup came after 2 follow ups around 840pm. To make things worst, a guy who just came in good his food ahead of... More

Place is not full yet order of takoyaki balls taking almost an hour... 48 minutes now, counting and still no food. Requested that the miso soup be served first and it took them 20 minutes to serve it. Servers not even courteous enough to explain delay or apogize for it. WILL NEVER GO BACK TO THIS PLACE.

Prices are reasonable as Japanese restaurants go. Everything ordered was passable to quite good: salad, takoyaki, okonomiyaki, maki , seafood ramen and tantan men, and crispy squid/octopus, salmon terikyaki. Service was also good. This place comes across as a local izakaya or beer joint rather than a high end Japanese resto. So the food is fit for such a purpose.... More

We were treated at the Tomas Morato branch by a friend. We were a big group so we were lucky to sample much of the menu. I am not a fan of Japanese ramen but I got converted. Loved both the seafood and roast pork ramen. They were my favorite. My second favorite was the sashimi salmon. My husband loves... More

Im from the south and had some errands to do around banawe so I drop by this place because I heard they serve good takoyaki here. So I tried and see for myself. My verdict? yes they really serve good tasting takoyaki here with real octopus inside. Will definitely recommend this for those who love takoyaki.

I like the outdoor dining in this place. During night time, not sure though if it's everyday, a band plays acoustics and pop. This is a bar and resto good for dining, beers and just chilling out all at the same time. TRY THE SQUID BALLS! really nice!👌👌👌

I've been eyeing on this restaurant for some time now and last week, we were able to try their famous Sizzling Japanese Pizzas. It turned out that these are not really pizzas but okonomiyaki or flavored pancakes/omelets. They have varieties in terms of Okonomiyaki (Octopus, Mushrooms, Beef, Pork, etc) but we tried the octopus flavored one. It was very tasty,... More

A friend suggested this place for a dinner meeting on a Monday night. This was the first time I heard of this restaurant and was pleasantly surprised upon arriving. Located on the second floor of the building, there is an open venranda with a few tables and an acoustic solo singer at the far end. Music was a bit loud... More

It wasn't our first time so we weren't really expecting anything new. We were excited about the food's quality and prepped ourselves for the "longer-than-usual" service that will be taken by their "not-so-inviting" staff. For a change, we seated ourselves in the "bar type" tables right in front of their kitchen and that's what made this experience bad. Our initial... More
