I spear my own fish back in Florida so my friends all hail me by the title 'Fish Snob' - a moniker I embrace wholeheartedly. Today my palate was soundly rewarded - and at a steak house of all places. I've eaten at the Melo's...More

Good steak and lobster thermidor. However, their ala carte order of clam chowder tasted like it came straight out of a can. Dessert is limited and many items are often unavailable so we usually end up going to Mom and Tina's next door. The inside...More

I've heared a lot a rave reviews about their steaks so I decide to take my date here knowing her fondness for steaks. We had Melo's surf and turf platters: grilled Wagyu beef steak with Lobster tail and Angus beef steak with King prawns. The...More

Melo's is the hands-down THE place for steaks. Albeit, on the pricey side, the quality is worth it. If you want your steak medium rare, it WILL come out medium rare. :)

Pros: Highly competent valet staff. Fairly good ambiance. Delicious soup and complimentary bread. Cons: Angus steak cooked in seasoning (Maggi, Knorr, etc.) is unacceptable. Serving it with gravy is obviously the last nail in the coffin. Wait staff insisting that their pasta and salad serving...More
