Go there if you are starving and there is literally no other option (that's how we ended up there), prepare for the mindbogglingly slow service and sky-high prices. It's basically a shack (needs maintenance!) but you pay like you visited a proper restaurant. Paying 10% for the slowest service in the world is sick. Just include the damn VAT and... More

We had lunch at the Anchor during our road trip around Mahe. Quant cafe and nice food, but on island time so don't be in a rush to get your food! I had fish and chips which were fresh and tasty. My hubby had chicken nuggets which were not as good!

Furniture tired, decor tired and staff tired (of custom, service and life by appearance). Just stopped for a drink whilst passing by one afternoon. It was about 3.00pm and nobody else in. Soon found out why. we were offered a menu after about 5 minutes of smiling at the staff. When we siad we only wanted coffee they about turned... More

You would expect fresh fish in a restaurant at the beach, instead of surimi. Octopus salad, way overcooked. Still expensive.

We tried the sweet and sour vegetarian and the prawns here Something was wrong with prawns though. couldnt point out what exactly. this place was located close to the Chez Augustine apartments where we stayed. the beach is perfect. the seating is good, and the menu offers variety of sea food.

Was please to find a great litle local restaurant that didn't charge the earth and had great food and local atmosphere. Burgers were great as was the fish. I had the local creole fish curry that was great.

The place itself has a small, very simple inside part (not in a romantic, cosy way), and neglected outside part. Food is very, very basic in quality and tasteless. Prices are high for what you get. Avoid.

We ate there twice, they have the best fish & chips on the island. Excellent staff & food, you can listen to the waves from across the sea while you eat. Either sit in open under umbrella or inside patio.

After reading about this restaurant on Trip Advisor, and hearing about the menu, we decided it was a 'must try'. We're so glad we did . Although we couldn't have the blackened fish as it was not on the LUNCH menu, I had the fresh line fish- the best I've had on the island- so moist, fleshy , and cooked... More
