On our recent trip to KL we were wandering around the Pavillion in Jalan Bukit Bintang when we came across Snowflake, we stood back and had a look at what the desserts looked like that some of the people were eating, everything looked good so...we ordered a dessert to try.
Snowflake serves natural and authentic desserts of Taiwan we ordered Chokan Mango and let me tell you it was delicious, looked a bit like Ice Kachang, but was nothing like the syrupy Malaysian Ice treat.
Hope they open in Australia soonMore
Love the dessert here! I highly recommend the black sesame dessert and ginger soup And it will not be complete without their famous taro balls which is available in few flavors. I highly recommend the traditional flavors (such as red bean or soy pudding) as...i think the modern flavors (such as mangoes & green tea) are mainly ice cream and shaved ice. You can choose to add on other ingredients as well such as boba, barley, red beans and other item.
Only thing i dont like at the Pavilion outlet is that old lady serve at the counter. Such bad attitude and she's always grumpy!More
This outlet is always crowded, compared to other outlets.
Most of the time, we had to wait for a table.
Taro Balls specialty desserts. Always ordered their warm dessert (can recall the name) but that is the best seller
Having been to jiu fen in Taiwan, the home of taro balls, snowflake serves the closest rendition across Singapore and Malaysia (nine fresh and blackball do not come close).
The soya bean curd (tau huay) and grass jelly (chin chow) were rather disappointing though, and...therefore not worth the high price. We’d stick to just the taro balls and avoid all other desserts they serve.More
