Right in the middle of the tourist area is this 24-hour izakaya. At 5:30 am, it was the only option available for a quick bite. It wasn't crazy busy but I wasn't the only customer. I had some fries (which was alright), BBQ beef which...was good but a tad salty. Everything was geared toward drinking more booze. Considering the portion size, the price is quite expensive. However, being the only place in town at this time in the early morning, I can't complain. Happy that something was open with a washroom. It felt like this place was the last stop someone will make during a night of heavy drinking. They perform a function. Cater to tourists and those participating in an all-nighter.More

WORST PLACE EVER. The waiters just doesn't care about costumers. You don't have the chance to order or get your table clean sooner then 30 minutes. Food awful (really fatty, no taste). Cleaning- what wait, what's this word? They don't know even how to spell...it. The table was so sticky that we are lucky not to be still glued to it. And when we paid, the guy without a word just brought my money and then grubbed my shoulder, pushed me away to "let" another costumer pay. In Osaka there are so much better place to go, just avoid this one.More

_________ The service is very slow, to be served cold as much the dish as the waiters. The staff is not at all friendly, worse still completely neglects tourists (see denies their access). We saw a couple of tourists before we told them "full" while our group of 6 which one Japanese was accepting after negotiation. The staff is unfriendly and the food is not so good.More

We add dinner at the 2nd floor and the experience was quite terrible: service is slow, it is a smoking restaurant, and food quality is terrible.

Ate here for lunch today and I am beyond disappointed! It was quiet and yet I still had to wait 15 mins to get a waiters attention. Everything is over priced. I ordered some sushi and fried noodles. The salmon and tuna had no taste...at all! And the noodle dish was very disappointing. Drinks were overpriced too. The restaurant itself reminded me of TGI Fridays as it was impersonal and tacky. Don't eat here!More

Ok so if you are lucky enough to read this just avoid this restaurant for your health and savings. Working in restaurant, I know what I talking about. 1) Hygiene: from the time we came it was dirty. My seat had liquid on it that...I had to wipe off. There were a lot of chefs in the kitchen but I can see that lots of them were trainees (one did not know where to put clean plates). Anyway, thing is they were also a lot to sneeze, and they sneeze in the air ! Did not use shoulders of forearm, but in the air ... And the cabbage dipping was unclean. 2) Cuisine : it was the worst food I ever had in 2 weeks in Japan. We ordered tripes and 4 kind of cheese pizza and you can look at the photos, it was not what was shown. As French it is shameful to call this fromage. Then, we had tripes but still, you can see it was 85% of oignons and 100% of tripes was fat and it was chewy like chew-gum (there were only 2 pieces of tripes and I am generous saying that). 3) Service : the waitress that took our order knew how to speak English that was nice. However her attitude was deplorable. When I was ordering she did not hear was I said and just shook her head for me to repeat, amazing. It is also MANDATORY to order 1 drink per person ... DisgustingMore

I thought it was impossible to get bad service in Japan but man I was wrong. The service has to be the worst in the country, waiters won't greet you, won't make any effort to give you a decent service they simply don't give a...damn. Food is horrible but at least prices are cheap. Won't come near one of this crap holes anytime soon.More

On our first full day in Osaka in November, we decided to mainly stick with touristy spots. So after our visit to Osaka Castle, we headed to Tsutenkaku Tower and the surrounding Shinsekai district of Naniwa-ku. Shinsekai is known for their kushikatsu (deep-fried skewers of...meat and veggies) so we figured Yokozuna Tsutenkaku Shop would be a good place to grab a light lunch. It’s difficult to miss this restaurant with their bright lanterns and murals of sumo wrestlers on the exterior. Most kushikatsu are between 100¥ to 200¥ and each table has a communal container for dipping sauce. Make sure you don’t double dip… instead, use the complimentary cabbage leaves like a spoon to scoop up more of the sauce. We picked skewers of beef, chicken thigh, eggplant, prawn, scallop, and octopus to go along with our White Melon mocktail (350¥) – I’ve really missed the bright green melon drinks that we’ve had in Japan. The skewers themselves were quite good but I can definitely see how they can add up after a while. On our last trip to Japan, we made the mistake of not trying the yakisoba so we were determined to get our yakisoba fix on this visit. The Yakisoba (500¥) here was pretty good. It wasn’t a large portion size but it’s priced more like an appy. Definitely comfort food and a nice change up from the deep-fried foods. Last up for us was the order of Gyoza (550¥). We’re not sure why but it took a very long time for these gyoza to arrive at our table (we almost thought they forgot about our order). When it finally arrived, we were treated to a perfectly thin skin with a slight crispness to it. Service was a bit hit-and-miss but I guess that’s to be expected in this kind of establishment. We weren’t sure how to get our bill but finally found out we just had to take our table number to the front desk where they tally up our meal. One of the good things about this restaurant is that it’s open 24 hours a day so you can grab your skewer fix anytime you want.More

A fusion between authen local food with street food. Great ambience with hundreds of people around. Very busy. Had to wait for 20min to get a tablr but worth the wait. Not very comfortable but enjoyed a lot. Not expensive.
