I often follow the advice of fellow travellers, via TripAdvisor, when visiting a new place and I was not let down in Osaka. My hotel in Shinbiashi is a short walk from Dotonbori and this was a good place to dine on tonkatsu for the first time. In contrast to other places I have eaten this restaurant is tranquil and... Make sure this is the last katsu you ever eat otherwise it will ruin all others for you. Service was friendly and amazing. Food obviously delicious! Little hard to find (all the best places are) make sure you go downstairs.

Absolutely delicious tonkatsu! Very juicy and tender. We walked straight in without lining up, as it was fairly quiet that night. Staff were lovely, menu & how to were in English, and although not the cheapest meal, we had more than enough to eat with the tonkatsu set meal. Almost spoiled other tonkatsu we had during the rest of our... More

The cheese and garlic stuffed cutlet did not disappoint. The cabbage salad was a great fresh element.

Highly priced and super slow service. Loads of people cleared out but the line going in still hasn't moved. Upon going in to ask, I was told to go wait outside and that there's a queue. For the price and the service, I'm wondering if we would be better off eating at the opposite restaurant.

The place is a bit hard to find but definitely worth getting a wagyu katsu - it's different and tasty! Only downfall is the price.

Would recommend the cheese tonkatsu - it's pretty tasty and the set meal is decent value for money as well.
