I hope so long time to eat this Gyukatsu here. In Kyoto there are many blanches also.
The Gyukatsu is very tasty with rare in the middle fried beef. When we cook the Katsu in my home, it is flied well done usually.
You can tast with several sauces. You can tast Japanese tasty with Wasabi , a little bit spicy.
When I visited here, Wednesday lunch at 12. It was not full of customer at 1st floor. But 5min later many sutomer came and finally they went up 2nd floor. You had better viisit here before lunch if you don't wait before the restaurant.
The price is a bit of expensive than Ramen, but you can experienced and be satisfied with the other tasty.
You can get the several discount with credit card payment. You try to ask them.

I have tonkatsu in my country, but gyukatsu isn't common, so I went in without thinking too much. It's a simple but healthy feeling meal that leaves you satisfied! not greasy as you might expect. I would say the price and quality match, so feel free to order whatever you'd like.

The Gyukatsu here is delicious and comes with 6 sauces to add an amazing and unique flavor to the perfectly prepared gyukatsu that is already amazing on its own. Friendly service, refillable rice, miso soup, and cabbage. Very very worth the price and highly recommended after a long walk around Kiyomizu-dera!

very yummy and free flow cabbage!! thank you so much, the beef katsu will be abit undercooked so you can grill/ seer yourself on the stove in front of you!! they serve very nice varieties of sauces and sides as well.

I had lunch with my family here after visiting the Kiyomizu-dera temple (10 minutes walking). Outstanding experience! Gyukatsu Katsugyyu offers different options of gyukatsu cuts that they bring semi cooked and you will finish grilling on a small fire grill over your table. All dishes come with rice, miso soup and ingredients! Worth tasting!

We went to this place just in time. That was good. The katsudon are fine, I ordered the sirloin, very well, the onsen egg was delicious, the miso soup I also liked and that I do not love. There was also curry. Overall it was fine, but premium wagyu stands out more for its quality, and for falling apart in the mouth and with its texture.

Amazing cutlet with refillable rice, miso soup and salad. Had the tenderloin cut and it was delicious as expected. There are six different sauces to complement. We love the curry sauce the most. Apparently there are a couple of branches around Kyoto city, and we certainly recommend anyone visiting Kyoto to try it!

Best katsu i’ve ever had!!!!! Wow. From the beginning our beautiful server Ueta was so lovely, explaining to us the menu and being very engaging. I ordered the Waygu and my friends ordered the tenderloin and they were both DELICIOUS!!! Tried the matcha beer too and it was so unique and good. 100% reccomend

A Must go to restaurant!!
EVERYTHING was excellent ! From the waitress UETA ( Very personable and speaks very well english), friendly atmosphere AND, AND, the food was heavenly! We ordered Premium WAGYU Sirloin Gyukatsu Zen. It was so delicious that we ordered seconds!
Ueta was very attentive and engaged us in a lively conversation!
Don’t leave Kyoto without trying this place! 10 stars!
