It's fun to sit right in front of the hot iron plate and watch the staff making okonomiyaki. The food tastes good, but the portion is too big for me.

Had 10 of us but the wait wasn't too bad. Was our first time trying Hiroshima style okonimiyaki. Everyone loved it and thought it was delicious. Besides traditional ones made with cabbage, they also have ones made with noodles and all different kinds of fillings. The whole floor is full of other places that also looked good. Hard to choose... My husband was unsure he wanted the hustle and bustle of eating okonomoyaki but we loved it and he's converted to trying anything once. Yummy

I guess I went with high expectations with the many excellent reviews and recommendations from the guide books and travelers etc, so I was a bit disappointed when I went there one night just to try their famous Okonomiyaki. The taste was ok but I've had better ones in Hiroshima. The portion size though was huge. For a girl, it... More

We went here on the recommendation of our tour guide - and we liked it so much we went there the next night! English menus available and the staff speak English. Request without pork if like us you want vegetarian (ignoring the bonito flakes used in the dish). Both the veg only and the noodle okonomiyaki are great, and the... More

We found this awesome little gem tucked away on the 2f of the Esse building. What a treat. Luckily for us, we only had a 5 minute wait and then had the pleasure of sitting right by the chefs preparing our Okonomiyaki. Delicious and highly recommend.

Went here as soon as I got off the train, although I think I took a round about way of getting there. The shocker is that the floor this restaurant is in is made almost entirely of okonomiyaki shops! With that said, Reichan was certainly the busiest of them all and with good reason. This is place is unpretentious and... More

We wait the entire trip in Japan to try these traditional Hiroshima pancakes and we were not disappointed. We wait a short 5 mins at 11:55am and we got a table for four. As others have mentioned, they have an English menu and you order before you sit. Food was delicious and as described. We were all thrilled we ate... More

This place was recommended to us by some friends and I'm glad we went! There was a bug line out the front (we went for dinner) but the line moved quickly and as you wait you can watch the action of the chefs cooking the different types of okonomiyaki. Unfortunately we didn't get a seat at the bar, but the... More

Hidden up an old lift in an unassuming building, this is the best okonomiyaki I've had, all made fresh in front of you. We were quite lucky to get a seat. Owners were very friendly and they do have an English menu if necessary. It's worth playing hide and seek to find this place!
