The pecking duck is really good. We ordered 5 menus, thought we would pay at least RMB400, apparently it only cost us RMB180. Surprisingly very cheap. Would recommend this to anyone who read this comment

This outlet is just behind our hotel near westlake so we decide to have dinner here. The restaurant has its own building.. I like the old feel decor, pretty classy. They gave us a ticket number, there are many benches to sit around and look...at the menu as we wait. As the place is huge, we got a table for 2 in 15min. This is compared to Grandma's or Green Tea where we had to wait 2hrs. Food is equivalent and price is cheap too. They serve Chinese tea free so u don't have to order any drinks but one litre jug of fresh watermelon juice is just RMB28 so we had that. Food is served pretty fast too. I like their grilled fish and dry noodles but their veg soup came luke warm not hot. Likely to visit again to try the other items.More

Cheap quality food. It is located in the 4th floor of a shopping mall. For non Chinese speakers, there is no menu with picture but the waitress was thanks god, they had an app with a few pictures of the dises. However descriptions were in...Chinese.More

We went to the Xinbailu Restaurant along Ding'an Road. It's located inside a shopping centre and within walking distance from Qing He Fang street. We arrived around 5.30pm and queue for about half an hour. This place is popular with locals and foreigners alike. We...really enjoyed the fragrance rice, sea weed cold dish and the Dongpo pork. The salted egg york fried chicken wings is special and the vege soup is equally good. Thumbs up for this resto.More

First of all you, the food is very good and quite cheap. A family of 4 can eat dinner for USD30 excluding drinks. It's difficult if you do not read Chinese but not impossible. The system is to take a number for your table. During...peak times, the wait is one hour. They give you a pretty accurate estimate on the wait. So come early and things work out fine. Take a walk around the shopping center. You can order dishes while you wait by QR scanning your ticket. There are pictures and prices on their link. However it's all in Chinese. You will also need your phone to order additional dishes at the table. There is another QR code stuck to every table. The service is quick but don't expect any niceties. They work on packing as many customers in quickly and getting them out. The ambience is actually pretty nice but a little warm (temp set at 23 to 25C). There are many little sections and doesn't feel over crowded. Those who only speak English may need to take a little more time and anticipate some hurdles but this is very good, authentic, cheap local cuisine. Well worth the hassle.More

One of our best meals in Hangzhou. From the outside, it tries hard to look classy (understandable as the competition here is pretty intense), and the table seatings are rigid and couldnt accommodate our group. And so we had to have 2 separate tables. But...that was a blessing in the end as we could sample more dishes. And boy did they come! Large portions, fresh and tasty! Their Spicy Soup fish has a nice twist and is very unique to this chain of restaurants. And the pricing is super competitive! We even thought they might have miscalculated! Totally recommended!More

I went here for lunch. The menus and prices are similar to Grandma's Home and Lv Cha. They serve Hanghou's Specialties, such as West Lake Sour Carp, Dongpo Pork, etc. I think the dish that you have to try is Salty Egg Yolk Fried Chicken...Wing (黄蛋鸡翅), which is their specialty and can't be found anywhere else. Average price: 10-50 rmb :)More

Invited to dinner by local friends at the West Lake Culture Square outlet last night. We had to join the throng waiting to be called by number...I guess this happens when they are busy. We waited maybe 15 minutes which was well worth once you...order and eat. The amazing thing was the size... I guess it would take between 400 and 500 customers in various sections, private rooms and general areas. It has a rustic feel about the venue...quite easy to relax and no real noise that you notice in large restaurants. Once we sat down my friend scanned the qr code on the table to view the menu...the order was taken quickly and the six or courses we ordered came progressively over 25 minutes...no rush to eat. We had excellent dishes...scallops, beef noodles, mince meat with egg and tomato's, fresh cooked whole fish, sweet bread cubes with icecream in a crust and a dish that I would describe as corn chips, cucumber, mayonnaise and something else I've forgotten. My friends are familiar with the menu so it was easy to order, otherwise it might take sometime to choose. Definitely recommended....We will be back!More

A local had recommended this place and it is next to our hotel. Food is good and the price is very reasonable. Service is good and they offer you to return or change the food that you are not satisfied. I wish there are menus...with pictures because I cannot read Chinese (even you can read, it is hardly to guess what it will look like).More
