Batchoy, palabok, spagetti, pastries and kakanin. Name all your most loved comfort food, they have it. The best family restaurant in town. This family restaurant is deeply embedded in every true Dabawenyos heart.

When I was first served sandwiches from Cecil's years ago, I dismissed it as one of those cafeteria-bought treats. Only after I tasted one after I brought one back to the hotel did I feel embarrassed having put it aside the past many occasions. Their sandwiches are generously filled with loaf bread so soft, it can very well be a... More

If you make it to Davao you have to try Cecile's Pancit Luglug, it is just devine. I started going to this simple lunch counter style cake shop, back in University when it was the hang out for the Ateneo and UM dating set and hipsters. It has aged well, it is now one of Davao's venerable institutions. If you... More

I come here for the desserts. I love their cream puffs. Haven't tried the dishes but the desserts are on point. We always make a drive-by to grab ourselves something sweet for the road.

They now offer combo meals for 88 each. I am a sucker for their luglug. Batchoy, Choco moist, and brownies are unlike any others. They also serve the best kakanin but a bit pricy though.

Nothing so special... just an average bakeshoppe but still worth a try. Try their macaroons and meat breads.

Cecil's eclair has been my favorite pastry since I was in college. They also serve Filipino favorite dishes like palabok and a lot more.

Cecil's has been in the business for many years and currently has a branch at Gaisano Mall. We go to their mall outlet most of the time. I am a forever fan of their fresh lumpia ubod, dinner rolls (pan de ciosa), chicken sandwich, luglug and batchoy. Price is average. Sometimes I find them a little expensive for me but... More
