Perhaps someone was having a bad day. We received a cup that had something gooey on the outside, and a lemon wedge that had black "stuff" on it. We had already ordered food, so we decided to stay. The food was good - well seasoned and well made. The service started out very slow and unfriendly, but they seemed to... More

We were planning on visiting my Uncle who's in a rehab facility, so I took my Dad to visit his brother. First we stopped in at Hunter's. I first went there 50 years ago± when my Dad took me. Great down-home authentic diner food. I had a Ham & Cheese Omelet and Dad had French Toast. Great food and a... More

We were starving when we reached Auburn after a long trip from everywhere. We drove through the cute main streets and nothing seemed to stand out. Then we drove further along Genesee, on accident and found this quaint diner sitting off to the side. Immediately, we knew we were eating there. This was our son's first time being in a... More

So everything about our experience was fine, good. Just nothing crazy impressive. We went with a group of 8 and everyone was able to find something to eat and it came out in good time and was fine. The server was very nice, but didn't seem to know a whole lot about the menu. I would go there again if... More

While staying a night in Auburn we walked to this restaurant from the hotel. It is a quaint 50's style eatery. The waitresses are great and the food was good and inexpensive.

Great food, friendly staff, jukebox at the table all in a classic diner. A highlight on our Labor Day weekend.

We had a wonderful sleep at the Sleepy Hollow motel and I woke needing a great breakfast. This is the place. Crowded and bustling with locals. The eggs were cooked perfectly. The toast delicious. And the staff fantastic. I can't wait to go again! Loved it!

We were in town for my wife's nursing school reunion and stayed around the corner from Hunters. I had their Tuscany Chicken Sandwich with french fries which was great. I had a chocolate shake with it that was out of this world. Hunter's is on the main street in Auburn, Genesee Street. We hope to be back next month.
