Pros:
1. Wide Variety: The buffet boasts an impressive selection of fresh ingredients for shabu-shabu, including vegetables, seafood, meats, and noodles. There’s also a great range of grilled items, sushi, desserts, and beverages.
2. Interactive Dining: Cooking your food on the hotpot or grill adds a fun, communal aspect to the dining experience.
3. Ambiance: The restaurant offers a modern, clean, and well-lit space, perfect for group gatherings or family dinners.
4. Staff Service: The staff are generally attentive, with a special mention of Kesh, who is very attentive and ensures diners have a pleasant experience.
5. Great Value: For the variety and quality of food, the price is reasonable, especially for buffet lovers.
Areas for Improvement:
1. Waiting Time: Due to its popularity, there can be long waiting times during peak hours. Reservations or arriving early is recommended.

The restaurant is a chill and beautiful hangout spot. It offers both grilling options and shabu-shabu, which is perfect for the chilly Baguio weather! The price is affordable, and celebrants such as myself get to dine in for free.

What an amazing dining experience! The food at this restaurant is absolutely delicious. Every dish we tried was full of flavor and made with fresh ingredients. The staff is incredibly friendly and attentive, specially Chef DADO making sure we had everything we needed throughout the meal. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for great food and a welcoming atmosphere!

"During our birthday lunch at Tong Yang SM City Baguio on April 9th, we encountered several service issues. Despite confirming our reservation for 4-5 people, firstly, the restaurant’s PWD accessibility was lacking, and the staff’s assistance was inconsistent. I was told that customers should use the front doors when coming in; I apologize since my companions went directly to the veranda. Secondly, we were uncomfortably squeezed into a cramped table meant for four, despite being a party of five. It seemed that if we were two separate groups, we would have been allowed to occupy two tables. This arrangement was not ideal for our family celebration.
Thirdly, the service continued to disappoint when a soup we ordered was abruptly declared unavailable, although I noticed that the adjacent table had also ordered the same soup. It seems the female waiter lacked the foresight to inform us of the menu’s unavailable items before we made our selections. Fortly, the outdoor seating exposed us to dense cooking fumes, and our request to activate the exhaust was denied due to safety concerns. We tolerate the fumes and respected their response.
The availability of having ready-to-eat food while waiting for the other items to be cooked is a convenience; however, the cooked shellfish were mostly empty, and the mixed tempura consisted predominantly of fried sweet potatoes. We raised these issues with the staff."
Lastly ,our birthday guest was not acknowledged with the customary cake—a courtesy we observed being extended to others. Before leaving, I sought to provide feedback on this oversight and requested a form to express my concerns but was instead directed to a QR code. My subsequent message to the restaurant received a dismissive ‘OKAY.’ I then expressed my hope that their oversight was not intentional. They later explained that the delay in birthday acknowledgments was due to a high volume of celebrants and that cakes were freshly baked. Nevertheless, it was disconcerting to be overlooked, especially after informing them of their missed opportunity to celebrate with us.
Our overall experience did not meet our expectations. We kindly suggest that future services be more attentive to special occasions, ensuring a memorable and comfortable experience for all guests, regardless of the restaurant’s busyness or any noted shortcomings. We believe that the true value lies in the quality of service, which significantly impacts the overall experience beyond any complimentary offerings or food."

We first tried Tong Yang at BGC then at SM MOA. We were pleased when Tong Yang opened in SM Baguio. It was great when it was newly opened. Staff was nice and courteous. Food selection was excellent and the meats were fresh.
These days the staff is rude and indifferent. The food selection isn't that good anymore. The same meats in different platters. It's not that clean anymore, also. Sure, the tables are wiped but the floors aren't swept. Look down from where you're seated and you're likely to see some dropped food morsels from previous diners.
On my wife's birthday we came with our 3-year old daughter and we bought her takeout from Jollibee. Staff at the podium told us we'd have to pay for her but we said she wasn't going to eat from the buffet which was why we bought her takeout. Staff said these exact words: "Imo-monitor namin siya. Kahit isang subo lang icha-charge namin kayo."
Why did she have to say that? Even if our 3-year old were to eat from the buffet she could barely finish a small bowl. And that's precisely why we got her takeout.
I hope the management will look into the quality of the food and the attitude of the staff.
Opening week sa 5/5. These days it's 2/5.

I can’t say enough good things about this place! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by the warmest staff who made us feel right at home. The food was outstanding — so many flavors and the presentation was beautiful. The team is incredibly approachable, always ready to offer recommendations and ensure a great dining experience. Definitely coming back!Kudos to Chef Dado for amazing dishes.

I really don't get it. No matter how nice you are with the staff, they're just blatantly rude. Specifically female staff. You ask them to help you out with anything and they're intentionally rude showing you they're not happy serving you. With all this attitude, now as a customer I have to be defensive eating at the place, trying to make sure they don't do anything funny with the food. It's crazy!!

Our family are fond of shabu-shabu and korean grill and so we tried Tong yang, so glad that they are now in Baguio! we patiently waited for our turn as there were lots of diners inside. They have a wide array of selections from appetizers, meats and seafood. all are good too! the free dessert and unli beer is a plus, Price is definitely worth it. Staff are very accommodating too. Special mention to Sir Lucky who was very attentive and hospitable during our dinner. since there were so many selections to choose from, he helped us pick what to get first and gave us a special sauce too, which we liked! +1 for us. Overall, we had an enjoyable dining experience. We will definitely come back again :)

Senior friendly! The staff were very helpful to my parents, they suggested sauces to try, they refilled the soup when it’s almost done. Shoutout to Sir Kenedy and Sir Raul for assisting us especially my parents. The food is great, a lot of selections to try. I highly recommend the mushroom soup! Their dessert is yummy I had to get one more before we left haha. Overall a good experience!

The place is beautifully decorated. It is clean and food arrangement is very satisfactory. The foods are fresh. The desserts and fruits are very satisfactority too. The food assistant assigned to me, 'KENNEDY" was very responsible and goes out of his way to make his clients feel at home and comfortable. I will definitely advertise this resto to my relatives and friends. Cheers!

I’ve reached out to their Facebook page and they have not responded for a week so here it goes…
Upon our arrival, we entered through the walk-in entrance. Unfortunately, no staff member approached us to inquire if we had a reservation, how many people were to dine, or any other relevant details. We found a table and waited for our pots and grills.
While waiting, a staff member, who was attending to two other guests, approached us and asked if we had a reservation. I replied that we did not, but I could register up front if necessary. The staff member then told my mother, in a dismissive tone, to vacate the table because it was a first-come, first-served policy. It seemed she intended to seat the other two guests at our table. Notably, the restaurant was not fully packed, and there were plenty of tables available.
My mother, who is a senior, was upset because the staff's approach made us feel humiliated. Due to this, we ultimately decided not to eat there anymore.
This experience was quite disappointing and frustrating for us, especially considering we had a very positive experience when the restaurant first opened. Hence, I gave them a great review here. Now it felt like we were being kicked out.

The variety of food options is quite impressive, from fresh vegetables, seafood, to different types of meat. Plus, they have a wide array of sauces that you can mix and match to your liking. The ambiance is also quite cozy and comfortable, making it a great place to dine with family or friends.

The thinly sliced meat cooks quickly, retaining its tenderness and flavor. The variety of vegetables adds freshness and texture to the meal. The dipping sauces, typically ponzu and sesame, complement the flavors of the ingredients perfectly. The spot outside is perfect for hot pot session with family and friends. There's a wide variety of selection with the shabu shabu ingridients including meat, vegetables, sausages, dumplings, maki, even kimchi is available. There's also a variety of desserts available I particularly liked the strawberry ice cream perfect to complete your visit in Baguio. 🍓🍓🍓

It was an incredible experience! The buffet offered a diverse selection of delicious dishes, especially the hotpot options. The food quality was outstanding, and the service was impeccable—kudos to Sir Raul and others for making the visit exceptional. I highly recommend this place and will definitely be returning!😍
