Maybe we had too high expectations. Brought a superb bottle of Rioja to accompany my food. Food was served fast but on a cold plate, the temperature in Baguio is cold so all our food was served Luke warm to cold. Not good. We took tapas, mains and dessert. Tapas were ok, loved the spinach n such on Melba toast, very good. The Paella was good but cold, my Slow Roast Beef, cold, my daughters piri piri Luke warm … for me not good. Then we were looking forward to a nice dessert and it was described as such, a chocolate fondant, turned out to be a sweet cheap chocolate sugar bomb yucks!!!! No quality chocolate to be found in this one. All n all loved the atmosphere and staff was great, quality of food, just average sorry but I was very disappointed with it. Cold plates cold food. Not my style.

We stopped in for dinner on a wet night. The restaurant has a nice, slightly old world feel to it. The ceilings are very high which gives it an airy feeling.
There is quite a variety of cuisines on the menu but unfortunately my first choice of main course was "out of stock".
We only had a main course each and what really surprised us was how quickly the dish was served. It was almost too quick as we were still enjoying a pre-dinner cocktail when the main course was served it felt like only 5 minutes after placing the order. An exaggeration I accept but it was the quickest I've think I've ever had a dish served.
The staff were very friendly and this was good value for money.

My very first time eating here. My sister and I had a bet and fortunately I won lol. It was my choice of restaurant and since almost everyone I know in Baguio raves about Hill Station, I guess it’s a no brainer.
Got there and we were greeted warmly buy the staff. We had a reservation so we were seated promptly. There’s 14 of us in our group (including 3 young kids)
Everyone was saying try this try that but orders were individual plates. I decided to order the famous lengua and tomato pumpkin soup. Others ordered seafood carbonara, Salpicao, Paella, salmon, lechon kawali. OMG!!!!! The food here is DELICIOUS! The lengua is very tender. The lechon kawali, so crispy! The Salpicao cooked medium rare with just the perfect amount of butter and garlic. The paella! Omg! Just order it and taste it yourself, it’s better than any paella we had in Spain! Really!!!
You can tell that ingredients used are really good quality because the taste and texture are absolutely on point. I’m very particular with Filipino food because I love to cook too! And yes, I was fortunate to taste everyone’s food.
Would I return here! ABSOLUTELY!

We enjoyed our dinner so much at Hill station. It took an hour for our food to be served, but they advised ahead of time that the paella will really take long to prepare. They served the food all together, which is preferable for us. The waiters were attentive to our needs and accommated every request. The food was very good, every bite was worth the wait. We also enjoyed listening to the live acoustic band that serenaded us during dinner.
It's better to have a reservation as they have 2 seating times, 6pm and 8:30 pm. They will accommodate walk-ins if the place is not full.
Great place. Will definitely come back!

The Hill Station has a pleasant atmosphere reflecting its age and prices. The staff are pleasant and accommodating. The food is good, the portions are adequate although the menu is unchanging. There are two sittings for dinner and the last time I went, I emphasize the word 'last' I was told that there was a two hour window in which to have your meal, 'ridiculous and unbelievable' especially when one is paying in excess of 5,000 peso for two people. I will not return there.

The taste of the food is just okay and pricey for the serving size.
Service is not great, restaurant said it is pet friendly but they have specific rule that pet can only be at the bar area and we are not aware of it. They gave us a table, let us settle there, get our orders, gave us our ordered drinks, gave and let us eat the appetizers (free bread with olive oil and herb, fries and salad that we ordered) then when they served the main dish, one of the server asked us that our pet is not allowed and should be left in the bar. The servers did not even let us know from the start about their rule and let us settle and eat the appetizers, they should have let us know from the start so that we can just be at a table at the bar or we can find another restaurant that has good atmosphere for customers with a pet. We are on the middle of our eating and they just inform us, it is a hassle for us since we have to take turn to accompany our pet.
Atmosphere is just okay, a typical old house design.
Overall, I would not recommend this place.

While on vacation from Australia, we came across a review of Hill Station Restaurant located at Casa Vallejo and decided to invite the family for lunch.
The food, ambience and location of the restaurant were excellent, but I was somewhat disappointed with the initial service since my sizzling sisig arrived almost 30 minutes before the rest of the main orders. Considering it was my treat, I thought it was inappropriate to eat while other orders were still being prepared, so I waited, and by the time the other orders arrived for the family, my sisig was already cold.
Since this was my first dining experience in this restaurant, the most important lesson learned was to ensure to provide clear instruction regarding the timing of serving the orders. Also, restaurant management should look into this and ensure that orders are not served separately at unacceptable intervals, unless otherwise requested.
Despite some initial service issues and few drinks missed and not being delivered right away, the food, ambiance, and general atmosphere of the restaurant was great!

All the food is really good and the pricing is reasonable for the quality of restaurant food and setting. However, there were numerous service errors that made the experience disappointing. First, no bread service was offered at all (like every other table). Second, I ordered a soup appetized and a main, but both came at the same time which is so surprising for a top-end restaurant. Third, they tried to serve another table's meals to us after the initial service (similar to our choices) which was confusing but then we had to send them away since this can't be ours. Finally, we had to flag down a waiter after waiting terribly long to order some desert.
To bad they couldn't come through to make this a near flawless experience with great food, great ambiance and nice reception. Perhaps at another time, they will get a 5 star rating withh better service.

One of the best restaurants in town. Located close to SM, when visiting Baguio this is a must stop. We eat there twice. The first time service took a while because it was busy for long weekend vacationers. But worth the wait. Recommended to reserve a table. The second time was during weekdays and service was prompt and quick. The food is excellent. Onion soup....beef...pasta. Many choices. All accompanied by a nice beer. For a group of 4, prepare to pay 4000-5000

We really enjoyed our lunch at this upmarket restaurant. The atmosphere of the place was excellent. A relaxed 'vibe' in comfortable surroundings, with very much an 'old world' feel.
The menu was varied, with a variety of both Western and Asian dishes on offer. Prices were reasonable considering the quality of the food and level of service.
Would love to eat here again.

Reservations are essential. The servings are not huge but the food is very good. The roasted salmon was perfect - juicy and tender. The adlai and anchovy (lenten special) was also great - crunchy and flavorful. Worth another visit to try their other dishes

We chose this restaurant to celebrate a family event. It was full on a weekday, but we were given a good table since we made advance reservations. Elegant old world ambience. Very attentive service. Roast beef, callos and Hill Station salad were good. Paella was ok. They also have a store where we bought the salad dressing for pasalubong (gift). We had a lovely celebration.

The correct rating for this should be 3.5 stars. Except for the Salapicao which was so dry and bland that we had to send it back, and the French onion soup which was okkkkkk, the rest of the meal was reasonably enjoyable. Thai curry rice, fish and chips, beef chorizo and mango and butter cream icebox cake (too sweet for our palates). What made the evening well worth it were the Frozen Mojito and Frozen Margarita. Unique and very delicious.

Hill Station is a Baguio institution in terms of food. If old-world vibe is your thing, this restaurant will make you happy. The staff were polite and the food, very good. You might also want to try their mango chutney and salsa monja which are for sale. Yesterday, our caesar salad was not prepared table-side perhaps because the place was too full. Parking, just like anywhere in this part of Baguio, is a <insert profanity>.
