Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

this is one of my more favorite restaurants. They offer a varied menu. I like the pasta in huancaina sauce but be careful if you don't like spicy. most all of their fish/marisco dishes are good. The downside for me is that over the last...couple of years they seem to have tripled their prices.More

I’ve been told Chiclayo is one of the best culinary destinations at Peru. It’s true. We had the best lunch there, maybe we earned 30 pounds each one (my husband and I lol) but it was worth it. Food: 5 points. Service: 3 points. Área:...4 points.More

This restaurant is not inexpensive, but it has no reason to be. They serve all the traditional dishes of Northern Peru with lots of seafood in the mix. I don't like seafood at all and this is my favorite restaurant in Chiclayo by far! You...really need to try the Huancaina spaghetti paired with Lomo saltado (beef tips). Delish!More

This place was recommended to us by the staff at Los Portales and we were greatly surprised. Loved the atmosphere and decorations, very airy. Staff was very customer driven, our waitress Zoila was amazing and even showed us some of the local vegetables which were...part of the regional dishes. Food and drinks were awesome. We also spoke with Nicolas the young manager as we were leaving, again great customer service. I would recommend this to anyone visiting ChiclayoMore

One of the best ( and more expensive) restaurants in Chiclayo. The staff was nice and friendly, however, the service was very slow.

Best food and service ever in Chiclayo with fair prices. Leche de Tigre and Chaufa was my favorite. They have a good menu and the location and decoration make the lunch a pleasant experience!

Food is very good and is almost exclusively criollo. What is unique is that you can get a sampler meal that has various different Peruvian specialties. Understand there is one of these in Lima too.

The people of Chiclayo in general are amazing hosts, and that couldn't be more true of the people of the Sabores Peruanos restaurant. We felt so welcomed there, even with a large group (12 people). All of us were extremely satisfied with our food, with...one of the favorites being the Duck with Rice. Delicious!More

Over the years this has been one of the iconic regional food spots to go when in Chiclayo. Little has changed in the clean, well organized settings. Service is efficient and food served never fails to fill just that crave for good, hearty northern Peruvian...food. I place to visit over and over.More

We have been coming here for more than 10 years and it is still our favorite restaurant in town. There is not much to do in Chiclayo, but the food is perhaps the best in the country. Try the ceviche exotico and the tacu tacu...con mariscos. Can not wait to come back.More

Just a great place to eat local food. We ordered a couple of "piqueo" plates (appetizers) to share so we can have a bit of each flavor. I've ordered "turron" for dessert... memorable! I'm uploading some pictures of the place. Everybody seems to take pics...of the plates but the space is also amazing. And German, the restaurant manager just showed us why Chiclayo is called the Capital of FriendshipMore

The dishes' flavor, and texture are average with other local restaurants. The prices are very high comparing similar restaurants, and the location is kind of dusty and dirty. The meat in one of the dishes was overcooked.

The best lunch in Chiclayo. Fresh delicious food, modern but unpretentious takes on north coastal Peruvian classics. From ceviche and tiradito, to arroz con pato, fideos a la huncaina with cabrito, risotto con pato, they have it all and its all great. Service is really...top notch, fast and friendly but never hurried. The manager is always right there to make sure that everything goes perfectly. I brought a group of 12 there just the other day and they handled it flawlessly. Only downgrade is they aren't open for dinner so I can;t enjoy the food more. Don't miss it.More

Delicious Peruvian food!! In my opinion the best Peruvian restaurant in Chiclayo. They have a great variety of plates, from traditional Peruvian ones to the ones typical of the region such as "lomo saltado" and "arroz con pato". I Went there three times, order something...different every time and each and every plate was very tasty! Really recommend the place.More
