We've eaten here many times over the years, even back when it was a little-hole-in-the-wall in downtown Boquete. they're easily the oldest Mexican restaurant in Boquete, but now they're getting some competition from new startups. The menu is quite large and varied with a few Mexican dishes we had never heard of before. Quality is pretty average. In the past... More

Where do I start? The waitress was completely inattentive until it came to paying the bill. Then she hovered over us until we signed and put the tip amount on the bill. No pressure there! The food was low quality, no hot sauce, everything with chicken was dry and overcooked. I had the chicken mole special and it was the... More

My wife wanted to have Mexican food for dinner, the restaurant looks like it really need a hand of paint, new floors and better decoration. The food was average, we asked for nachos as an entry and the waitress strongly recommended the ones with black beans, and I know why, the beans gave the nachos it's flavor, not the cheese... More

Decent alternative place for food. The portions are simply huge, so you may want to skip the starter. Prices are good, both food and drinks.

We dined before prime time dinner, apx. 3pm because we were so hungry. We were the only people in the place. Not alot of ambiance with the main road right out front. decor was traditional mexican. service was "ok" and the food was average or a bit better.

Maybe we're spoiled in the U.S. when it comes to Mexican food. The La Casona on the right side of the main street leading into Boquete is certainly a sad example of Mexican fare and smacks of tourist trap. The restaurant is dark and the table cloth stained. Since the main road is within a few feet of the open... More

I hate writing this review but eating at this restaurant was BY FAR the worst dining experience we ever had. We order two plates from ‘Specialidates’ (last page of the menu). I don’t remember exactly the name. Main was some chicken breast with lots of onions and red wine sauce (?) and same black beans cream that looked exactly like... More

My family just returned from a dinner at La Casona in Boquete, Panama. We have now been here about three or four times in the past five years and my wife keeps reminding me of why we rarely go here. For me, I keep forgetting my experience after a year or so and I return. We had the Fajitas tonight.... More

We have visited Peru and this place has very authentic Peruvian meals. The Pisco Sours kept coming and made our dining experience a memorable one for sure.

I have eaten here on several occasions with friends and alone. Many people travel from David to partake of this Mexican food. They have a good selection of dishes, carne, pork, seafood and chicken. I particularlylike the chipolte chicken (spicy hot) Thankful for the tortilla to absort some of the spices. Good black beans and plently of tomatoes. My one... More
