We have eaten at Villa Mare at least 10 times in the past eight months and the food is always excellent and served hot. I have had many dishes to include the Lamb Chops, Chicken Parm and many others. You cant go wrong. The calamare is among the best I have ever had. The buffalo mozzarella appetizer is also amazing.... More
We were in the Atlantic Beach neighborhood to check out a surf shop around 5 pm, when we realized we skipped lunch and were becoming unbearably hungry. We both felt like having Italian and found this pretty-but-no-frills place right off the bridge. Inside the spirit is warm and welcoming, with wood decor. There's a brick oven and a bar with... More
Saturday evening six of us went to Dino's for dinner. We made a reservation for six and when we got there the place was starting to get busy so it was good we made a reservation. All six of us shared some fantastic appetizers and each enjoyed their dinners. When the bill came it was very reasonable especially since all... More
Val & I did not feel like cooking so Val drove over and picked a pie up with onions and peppers, my new favorite. Delicious! Just wish it were a little less expensive. $23 for a pie with two toppings is a bit much. Either lower the price or give a little more of the topping which are pretty sparse!
A bunch of us were playing cards against humanity and got hungry so what's the best food at that time? Pizza of course. We ordered a bunch of pies and a couple of the boys walked over to pick them up. Next morning all we had were empty boxes. Great pies! Just wish they would deliver.
Service was non-existent. Food arrived cold. The Sea Bass (see picture) arrived mashed. My wife ordered the Gnocchi and it arrived frozen solid inside. How this place survives, I have absolutely no idea. We waited 30 minutes for our table even though we had a reservation. Owner and/or manager refused to come out of kitchen. Two adjacent tables, also frustrated,... More
Last night Val & I stopped in fo dinner around 6:30. Luckily we made a reservation because the place was full. The new ownership has made an amazing difference in this place. Everything we try is delicious. Last night both of us tried something new from the specials menu and both of us were so glad we did. I had... More
Met a friend I hadn't seen in ages for dinner. Staff was wonderful, giving us lots of time to chat before we ordered, not interrupting during the meal, and letting us linger long after they closed. Given it was January that's was 5 star guest treatment. Food was very enjoyable as well.
We called them up at 9:15 and they were closing at 10. Still they obliged and asked us to come over. Beautiful decor and the people waiting the table were very helpful. Although, it was that late and we were the last customers, they weren't impatient at all. The wine collection is decent and the Italian entree's are top of... More
