We were getting fed up of Moroccan food and wanted a change. Silvestro's Italian food was just the ticket! Delicious pasta and pizza - wine also very nice.

The food was scrumptious and the ambiance was warm and open, heightened by the decor. Enjoyed the semi-open kitchen experience. Tried the Moroccan wine (a cabernet) and was pleasantly surprised.

I took my friend here for dinner as the pasta is really great and their is a good choice of wine list too! However be warned a glass of wine is more like half a bottle. The seafood pasta is great and I had gnocchi as good as ones I've had in Italy. Worth a visit,

It is always annoying when people complain about slow service. Get there early or be patient! As soon as you walk up the stairs you are in a stylish restaurant with the kitchen on view. All meals are cooked freshly so there may well be a short delay in service. Sit back enjoy the wine and the ambience. The Occo... More

Upstairs in the medina, Silvestro's dining room transports you to authentic italy and the dishes were on par with many i tasted in Italy, plus it wasn't expensive. The staff are friendly, warm and efficient, service was excellent, and it's a nice place to have a drink with your meal (many restaurants in Essaouira don't serve alcohol) Definitely recommend it... Ok, when I knew I was going to Morocco I didnt expect having the best italian food I have ever eaten, considering I've been in Italy and in many italian restaurants around the world. We were recomended this restaurant by the owner of our hotel. So glad we tried. Please, do yourself a favour and order the gorgonzole gnocci. Pasta... More

I am out of words! That was the best food I had in my Morocco trip. We could have been in a little family owned restaurant somewhere in Toscana. We had three different courses and they where all great. Simple and not trying to be anything else. I want to go back (now)!

I loved everything about this place and I just can't stop thinking about the spinach gnocchi that I had and the pizza was excellent!

Very good pasta carbonara & gnocchi gorgonzola! My escalope e fungi was excellent - the accompanying potatoes sadly a little cold. The shared wood fired pizza prosciutto con fungi was very good - the fungi needed a little cooking though & some genorosity with the olio but I've had a lot worse even in Italy! A couple of Italian wines... More

Silvestro is the place we usually enjoy in Essaouira for its pizza and pasta. We recommend the pizza 4 cheese and the garlic spaghetti, the best outside Italia.Highly recommended.
