An experience like no other. Greeted before heading down to the undersea, the host gives a summary of the restaurant’s history and how it was built. Pays homage to the fact that it was the first of its type in the Maldives.
Afterward, you head down the descending narrow stairs to the undersea, where you are immediately under the glass ceiling with sea life swimming overhead.
Small and intimate, Ithaa only accommodates very few tables, so the experience is intimate.
The chef comes out prior to each course to describe what you are about to experience. Each course was inventive and delicious. Also, small portions.
It is a relatively long evening, meant to experience the undersea. Unforgettable.

Ithaa Undersea Restaurant, the world’s first underwater restaurant, is one of the top attractions at the Conrad Rangali resort. While we’ve been underwater at a handful of aquariums, it was quite an experience to be under the ocean. The set course meal price for the lunch and dinner were astronomical so we did the champagne visit for about $125 per person. We were disappointed with the lack of marine activity in the waters but still got to see several sharks up close which was amazing. It’s an expensive hour, but a unique experience.

What an unforgettable experience to dine under the Indian Ocean watching all the sharks and fishes swimming around you. A must go attraction if staying in the resort . All kids and adults would love that.
Expensive for dinner ($400+/person) and lunch (($200+/ Pearson)
But can do the 1 hour cocktail hour too($120/person) for a drink and appetizers.
Make sure to make reservations 1 week before your arrival as they only have limited business hours.

The restaurant is beautiful and it's a cool experience being surrounded by water. However, the food was lacking for the price. I went for dinner and it came out to about $900 for two people. There was nothing special about the food. The worst course was probably the dessert. If you want to experience this restaurant, I would go for lunch which is much cheaper for the coursed meal.

We had planned to have dinner at Ithaa underwater restaurant, but at the last moment we changed our mind to do a “brunch” with includes time 11am-12.00 noon, that gets you photo opportunity plus a glass of champagne and couple of canapés!
We were lucky as we have been alone in this restaurant that can seat 12 people. Of course, coming to Conrad Maldives, this is a must see and you really get some fantastic photos down there. The restaurant lies 3-5 meters under water and you can really relax and watch colorful sea life all around.
This pleasure is priced at 85USD +10% service plus 12% tax, while 7 course dinner would cost you 330++ with no drinks included.

It was an excelent service done with such fine detail and warm professional welcome from all the staff especially waiter as he made sure that all of our little detailed requests were managed accordingly. Could never stop talking about how much does the staff always make every restaurant/bar/lounge experience, this one was spectacular! Recommend it 100%

Oh my goodness..this was one of the best dinners my daughter and I had while visiting the Maldives! Each course was different and the taste of each dish was so well prepared and fresh ..the food was absolutely amazing! And watching the fish swim by kept our attention while dining. We had never ever seen sharks swim by while eating dinner! What an awesome jaw dropping sight that was to see. If you ever get an opportunity to dine there at Ithaa Restaurant please, by all means do so. It's well worth it.

Amazing niche some of the best customer service we that’s me and my photographer Ahmed ever had . The Resturent alone speaks for it self . The attention to detail by all members there mainly Azara I love her so much

Be sure to make a reservation. I was debating if I should go for lunch & dinner, and dinner was the way to go because we had daylight for about 1 ½ hrs before it got dark. We saw so many reef sharks, colorful reef fishes and they came so close to us. Every one of us was so excited and took so many pictures. It took us a whole hour to calm down. The 7-course dinner was not the 3 Michelin star quality, yet the flavor and the presentation were superb. The ingredients were fresh and top quality. It was truly once in a life kind of dining experience.

My husband and I decided to splurge on lunch at Ithaa and we were not disappointed. The food was delicious and artfully prepared. The views of coral, fish and sharks only enhanced the experience! It was an experience that we will never forget. The staff was friendly and attentive and ensured we had an enjoyable experience.

They say that you can always find the menu on-line, so I did, and it looked so good that we booked from home. When we arrived at Conrad, our hostess Jamie sent us another menu by email. Ok, not as good as the one we found ourselves, but anyhow... When we were at the restaurant it turned out to be a totally different and third menu! I was quite annoyed by that actually, and it is not ok considering the price! 😕
The food was ok, but nothing special. Anyhow we had fun, and it was a very special experience to dine under water and watch all the fish 🐟. It was once in a lifetime, I’m glad I tried it, but I would not do it again.
