From the minute you walk in the place you feel the vibe. I've been there twice and tried the restaurant in left (BSB or something like that), Duck, lamb and Chicken meal were amazing but beef steak was not that good though. The cake table - wow! Although I didn't try but gotta say looked amazing, At the very least... More

Came here with a group of friends. We were spoilt for choice of cakes. Just pick any one which catches your fancy. They are all good. You can have lunch and dinner here too.

China House comprises a connected row of restored shophouses which have been repurposed into establishments serving / showcashing food, art, drink and music establishments under one roof. Entering into a bustling cafe with colorful cakes, you move into a more laid back space with patrons playing Jenga before wandering through an open garden-like area and ending up in a live... More

One of the 1st few hipster cafes in Penang. I would only recommend the cakes here. Everything else is just average.

We enjoyed a perfectly prepared meal in the quiet room then joined the music in the cantina. Great entertainment by the band, especially the young man singing. Did not like my Moscow mule drink, way too much ginger.

They just ignored us (we checked and there was another network, but they didnt let us to use it). Staff was just busy chatting. No service what so... More

Nice place to spend some relaxing time throughout the whole day. Whether it's for lunch, a coffee, a drink or some games of pool. In weekends good live bands

A visit to penang isn't complete without a stop by China House - either for a meal or just drinks and its long table heaving with luscious cakes. One of the best eateries in town with proper preparation of western, Asian and fusion cuisine. Everyone loves China House - whether you're a kid or a grandmother, an ad exec or... More

Despite the small frontage, this place is huge, going right through between 2 streets. It has several areas to sit/ eat/ drink and also live music in the evening. I had the best beef rendang here as well as amazing cake! Would definitely recommend this if you are visiting George Town.
