Stopped by for cocktails and dessert. Took a table outside by a welcome fan. The cafe occupies the entrance to the leafy mew, terrific ambiance and friendly staff. Pandan sago pudding and the banana fritters were great, with a real restaurant twist on the standard.

I had a great time at Muntri Mews Cafe, experiencing the good food and relaxing ambiance. I was the only Muslim lady in my dinner party that night, and when the call for evening prayer commenced, Rizal, the cafe Manager went out of his way to prepare a room for me -- at no extra charge. He ensured I had... More

Nice place for chillin in the evening after long walk in Penang. Offered various local foods and still with good price.

It's a hip yet traditional kopitiam. Very laidback vibe, very East meets West. Dinners have a choice of local and western dishes .

Good ambience for a family meal. Parking wise is a bit challenging. There isn't much crowd on weekdays lunch hours however. Price is a little on the high side, but rightly so considering the quality of the food. Ordered Local Tasting Platter which is a great introduction to authentic Malaysian cuisine. The rendang, otah, curry puff and gula melaka dessert... More

We were in Penang and arranged for a family dinner at Muntri Mews. The selection of food was good and the waiters were helpful in providing additional information. We liked the service and the ambience for a relaxed and enjoyable evening. Would advise a reservation during weekends. Price a little on the high side, but guess it depends on what... More

Traveled across Penang based on Trip Advisor ratings, but the Singapore food courts have better food than what we had here. Even the PadThai was not as good as Bangkok street ones. The ambience is good though

After 8 days in Penang, searching the best restaurants have been a little disappointed till Mews. Beautiful, subtle, non greasy unlike many of the other top restaurants we have tried, generous helpings and excellent service. For me best in Penang.

The good thing about Mews is that they are open the whole afternoon and their menu has excellent selection of local cuisine. So if you missed lunch time (a lot of restaurant and food court close in the afternoon), you can still have a good local meal in this nicely set-up cafe. The price is a bit expensive though.

We order curry soup noodles, fish sambal and nasi goreng. Everything tasted amazing and cost averaged around 26MYR per main. If we have more nights here in Penang would definitely want to have dinner here again.
