We were looking for some traditional breakfast but somehow chance upon this quaint shop selling diim sum. A little gem I would say, because we had some v good dim sum indeed except for the porridge which was a little bland. The 'sang ha ' mee was really good. And best of all, the price are quite reasonable when compared... More

A wide selection of authentic dim sum. The staff are helpful and do their best to describe each dish. However, whatever you choose will surely be delicious! The collection of locals attests to the quality of the food. Come early though as the dim sum do sell out!

You can taste cheap and good dim sum (assortment of chinese dumpling) in Goergetown. Sitting here in the morning you can also feel the older generation of Penangnite, how they spend their morning and enjoy friends' company. You choose the dim sum from the pushing cart, staff will put a mark in the card in the respective row base on... More

Great place in Georgetown to have dim sum! You just sit on a plastic chair at a plastic table, but the food is excellent. Some English is spoken. Be early, closes at 3 pm.

Stopped by late morning 11am to try the 'famous' dim sum - none left unfortunately so I had a small plate of chau ho fan with pork which filled a gap. Apparently TY has been open for nearly 80 years - locals come here for an early breakfast, and the chap out front chopping & plating chicken told me that... More

It was way after lunch time when we landed in Penang, tired, hungry and luckily we found the rest by chance whilst roaming george town on foot. Just grab a table as no one will help you to your chair, people just expect you to know what you're doing seems like it. But then a nice old lady who speaks... More

This is an old style Cantonese tea house that serves excellent dim sum and various types of Cantonese style noodles (hor fun, mai fun, yee min etc). Their dumplings, fish ball, and chicken rice are also very good. Very authentic traditional cooking style. The restaurant opens at 6 am and closes at 3 pm. Go early if you want to... More

A friend recommended this café stating that it's one of Penang's best noodle cafe's. Now that we have tried just a couple of the noodle dishes I have to say we were pleasantly surprised and delighted. The service was prompt and while the acoustics was loud we thoroughly enjoyed our meals. It's definitely worth another visit so we are going... More

Amazing place to come for breakfast. The owner was extremely friendly and spoke very good English, the dim sum was very good! But they start to run out by about 1030. The house special dry noodles were pretty good as well.
