Location on the 2nd floor of the Sendai JR station, along the beef tongue street. This is one of the best ones along the street. Do not go to the basement for set meal ! I think only those in the street have the beef tongue prepared in life in front to customers. Tried the set! It was slightly expensive... More

Grilled beef tongue is not on most lists but give it a try. It has a bit more texture than beef but the grilled taste is delicious. There is no mineral aftertaste like organ meats. We had the 4-slice set with soup, salad and rice. Order the toro yam and place on your rice for a filling lunch. This spot... More

They offer many, many kinds of dishes related to ox tongue - so everyone can enjoy something. The taste of the ox tongue only was very thick, tender and juicy. The pickles that accompanied it were very spicy! The tsukune with the raw egg was very good. However, the oxtail soup tasted like water with oil added for some taste.... More

3 to 5 minutes walk from sendai station. Located in small 'shophouses' , but best in gyutan I've ever taste . Try their special gyutan. Worth it, ask medium rare if u like . You will have the beef taste melted in your tongue. Mmm..... definetely will come again with my fam.

Actually surprised this place is rank number 1. The food was good, nothing to complain about beef tongue meal is very easy to be find in Sendai. The place is actually not at the station but facing it on the left, in the covered part where many other restaurants are situated. (Or I got it wrong? But same name) The... More

Grilled beef tongue is a popular casual delicacy in Japan and this city; Sendai is famous for it. Usually grilled beef tongue is a bit chewy. So it is sliced very thin and not much taste in it but this restaurant is different and its beef tongue is thick, tender and tasty. Other accompanying dishes in set menu such as... More

I came to Sendai to try some beef tongue/gyutan and find some good bars/restaurants. A few locals pointed me to this place. Conveniently located near JR Sendai Station. The beef tongue was delicious!! They cook and season it so well that you think you're eating steak and not tongue. Enjoyed it with a soup and some sushi. Service was great.... More

When you want a quick meal in Japan, you need to select your restaurant carefully because the demand can be quite high, with a long line of people waiting just to get in and be seated. I joined a line of about seven people, and stood there waiting. In no time at all I was in and served with Japanese... More

We tried this restaurant because I always go where tripadvsor recommends in the top 5. They only sell beef tongue & oxtail here soooo if you don't want that don't go here. The staff helps you as soon as you walk in. If you have bags they will sit them in the corner. The waitress spoke excellent English and was... More
