Some of the most beautiful and delicious we have tasted. The service staff was super attentive and friendly.

We were in Nara for only 2 days last April and luckily, we met a wonderful guide who did listen to our requests and interests and took us to try the local speciality sushi called 柿の葉ずし or Kakinoha sushi at Izasa. Since Izasa did not accept reservations at weekends or on Sundays, by the time when we got to the restaurant,... More

I came here with my wife yesterday, and it left a stain on an otherwise perfect day in Nara. When we came in, we were seated promptly, but that's where the service appears to have ended. People who were seated after us in the same area had their food before we could place an order, despite several attempts to attract... More

Went there a couple of day ago with my family. As a half Japanese I can say the quality of the food was delicious and highly recommend it when visiting Nara. The 'Kaze' menu was my favorite and a very complete menu with lots of sides. The main dish was to die for! They also serve you tea upon arrival.... More

At the suggestion of our tour guide who has lived in Nara for over 20 years, we enjoyed a delicious and memorable lunch which was beautifully presented. The staff was warm and welcoming, the restaurant was bright and cheerful, and the food was simply delicious. Its proximity to Nara Park is definitely a plus but really, we would highly recommend... We thought we'd give this place a try as we were wandering the area. The set menu lunch was very filling with a wide variety of food. Being on the second floor, the restaurant overlooks Todaiji temple which is an added bonus.

Nice place to visit especially on hot summer day. Restaurant is on level 2 with a view to the temple. They have sets available for you to try the sushi wrapped in persimmon leaves and somen (thin cold noodles) which are Nara's specialities. The tempura was surprisingly good too. But you have to be early to get the popular sets.

Happened to drop by this place after visiting Todaiji Nara. It is located right beside the traffic junction between Nara park and entrance of Todaiji temple so you definitely cant miss it. The set meal provided were reasonably priced. There are window seats available so you may still seeing Todaiji temple from afar while enjoying your meal.

We tried this little place for lunch - we ordered two sets of 9 sushi pieces with the noodles and tempura. Everything was brilliant, a bit pricey but, given the location, worth the time and money. Service is very average - at least 6 people (Asians) who walked in after we ordered got their food before us!

Visited March 2015 with a group of friends and family. After taking a long walk at Nara Park, and the snow rain getting heavy, we decided to take earlier lunch here. We were a group of 13 and it was a small-medium (about 30seaters) restaurant. Thankfully our guide Ken already made a reservation. First point, they have good English menu... More
