In 1895 the imperial family built a summer villa across the street from The Fujiya. It was relatively small by imperial standards. After WWII, The Fujiya Hotel bought the property to establish a beautiful Japanese Restaurant named Kikka-so after Kiku, the Japanese war for chrysanthemums, the symbol of the imperial family. We were searching for a place for lunch everywhere and it was close to 2pm so everywhere was about to close. I had Saturday breakfast and dinner at the Kikka-so. It turns out the building was originally an imperial retreat and was sold to the Fujiya just after the war. I was surprised to see only 3 review here, but this place is sooo beautifull.
