We came to this restaurant many times but this time was the very first in 3 years because of Covid-19. We did not make reservation beforehand and had to wait for 20 minutes. We got the counter seat and had a good chance to order many dishes as we like. The Otoro sushi was excellent. The Sashimi dish was very fresh and tasty. Sushi set dish was not dissapointed. The Uni sushi was very good and fresh. The chef and staff were very friendly and helpful indeed eventhough they do not speak English very well. That make atmosphere very nice and cozy. Highly recommended.

I always visit this place when I come to Otaru. Of the many sushi restaurants, this is by far the best, and I would especially recommend it to foreigners who want to eat delicious sushi in Japan. The food is fresh, the work is done carefully, and it's reasonably priced (less than half the price in Tokyo). The conger eel in particular is superb, and the abalone steak is very tender and incredibly cheap.

I made a Reservation for the third generation omakase course at tablecheck in advance. Flights are delayed and Star Time has been changed by phone. He was willing to agree. Next to the Otaru Canal, on a snowy night, I watched the crowds of people passing by enjoying the beautiful scenery outside the window. Masazushi is located on the second floor, and the two of them sat at the window seat. Their nigiri sushi is really delicious, the fat in the tuna melts in your mouth, and the tiger prawns are fresh and sweet. The baked pudding Catalata is actually baked pudding frozen and then sliced. It’s really super delicious.

I had some of the best sushi ever when I ate here recently! I really enjoyed the sushi and also the service was great. I recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Tokyo, whether your on a business trip or vacation like I was.

Love this place so much!!!
We called at 10am to make reservation but they didn’t accept reservation.
Came in at 11 and we got a place!

We visited in August as a family. The kids don’t eat raw fish so choose the steak (Hokkaido beef) and we had the special kaisendon.
We arrived at peakish hour for lunch and had to wait for 45-50mjn, of which the staff warned us prior to the wait.
I thought it was an excellent kaisendon. Relatively good value for money. If I recall, the special kaisendon we ordered was around Yen 4,000 per bowl. The uni was so so buttery and delicious!

I am not an expert in sushi but this place was very nice in my opinion. It was crowded & I don't think they take reservations - first come , first serve, so you might want to get there when they open. My travel companions , who do eat sushi more regularly , thought the quality of food was excellent.

The service is excellent. We waited for 15 minutes before taking elevator to the designated floor. The sushi is authentic and fresh. Simply oishi! My family really enjoyed the food.

Came at 6:30pm weekday night and we're seated immediately. Ordered the ¥5000 recommended sets, anago-don, tempura, high grade otoro and sake for 3 of us. English & Chinese menu no issue.
Everything in the recommended set was good, especially otoro & uni! So we ordered the high grade otoro which is 50% more costly, but not worth the upgrade unfortunately. It was less enjoyable.
Service wise, the older lady and man at the door who brought us in were friendly and polite. But the younger woman looked a bit impatient and not so friendly.
Overall, I could have gotten better food elsewhere for the ¥20,000 I spent.
