A very typical sea food market in Japan - clean, tidy, bustling, interesting and so many gourmet food that purposely make you mouth watering! Either taste on site for urchin, shusi, oyster, scallop and crab..... or pack them and bring back hotel room for a feast.

Everything is delicious, you should try everything; specially takoyaki and the fish red-beans cookies.

OMG. I ate and ate and ate! If you love seafood then you have to swing by this place. You can either sit down properly for a meal or stroll around and snack on sea urchins, crabs, eel. Oh man, this place is heaven!

Kanazawa has a great demand on the quality of food and Omicho market has showcased this. Nicely grown vegetables from local farms and also other areas of japan, will definitely capture your photography instincts. Seafood restaurants further away from the main entrance has a good value and worth sitting down for a bite no matter how little time you have... More

This is a great market to get fresh produce (predominantly fish) for cooking the same day. There are a vast number of stalls selling fruit, vegetables, shellfish and fish of all different kinds at reasonable prices. Also inside the market building are several restaurants (such as a great sushi place) and stalls with street food.

Rain or shine, this market is not to be missed. The sea food is great. I am particularly fond of the unagi stand at the first main intersection. Be sure to wander all the different halls. Come early; as things start to slow down by mid-afternoon. Many of the vendors have tasting samples. I recommend stopping at one of the... More

Whenever we travel, we must go to local market for food and shopping. We trust that we not only find the fresh and food at the lowest price, but also see lifestyle of the local people. In this Omicho Market, there are varieties of food (fresh and dried) and goods (kitchen utensils). There are also some vendors selling fresh sea... More

We love to explore markets everywhere we travel. The Omicho Market was a great experience. If you love trying different foods this is the place to go. A lot of the vendors have various cooked and raw foods available to eat. My husband called it an indoor street food fest. Tried fresh sea urchin, grilled fish and scallops on a... More

This market is very good to visit, especially in the morning. They sell fresh seafood and can cook for us to eat. However, we like the market in Tokyo more than.
