We went around Hoi An trying the most recommended pho places according to TripAdvisor and I'd say this is better than the one at 27 Phan Trau Trinh. The otherwise standard pho stock (smells like chicken stock) turned kinda magical when you put the right amounts of chilli powder (sparingly, it's very spicy) and that fragrant sesame oil in black... Authentic Hoi An's pho. The people there were a bit weird though. I was the only customer there at the time, and right after I sat down at my table, three ladies came sit at my table chitchatting and staring at me the whole time (I'm Vietnamese, not blond with blue eyes). There were 2 or 3 other empty tables... More

We were taken to Pho Lien for breakfast with our HoiAn friends. This is local Pho at its best. Not many tourist visit as is a little way from centre of HoiAn but well worth the visit. You will not eat hotel Pho again See attached photo for address as there may be others restaurants using same name

I'm normally a big fan of more 'local' places rather than tourist restaurants but pho lien wasn'T a good experience. My partner and I have eaten lots of pho in vietnam and we weren't expecting fine dining, however pho lien was both dirty and the food average. Worst of all was being charged approximately DOUBLE what we should have paid.... More

We wanted to taste truly Vietnamese authentic beef noodle which brought us to this restaurant. This is not the pretty looking type of restaurant that you find around the ancient town. This is more to the local style restaurant. They only serve beef pho...and truly they do served one of the best beef noodles we have ever eaten. The broth... More

Friendly local pho specialist with only one dish on the menu! Nice complimentary iced tea! The pickled papaya is very refreshing. We sat in the balcony which was relaxing with nice breeze and a bit of the street view.

We came here as recommended by our tailor. They only make one dish: beef rice noodle (pho bo), the true traditional Vietnamese pho. And they make it very well. :) We didn't realise it at first, and were trying to find the menu to order when they just put the pho bo bowls on our table. Tasty and at local... More

We went here on a recommendation from the staff at the tailor we were using. The pho was pretty good, however, the experience was spoiled when we went to pay the bill. When we told a younger staff member that we wanted to pay for our two bowls of pho, she said 40k, but then the woman who was cooking... More
