This is one of the Hoi An restaurants is hat you could have a great meal and come back 2 years later and have the same great meal again ! Consistency is what makes a great restaurant and it’s an exhaustive process to accomplish this. If you’ve read any of my reviews you will see that’s the one thing I always harp on. Without it you have a very incomplete dining experience. The owner and his entire team take this commitment to service very seriously and continue to push for all around excellence. The simple food I like here such as the duck noodle soup or the fresh fish salad are an amazing value not to mention you get a beautiful, soulful place to dine. Although I’ve seen comments about lack of service, I find that hard to believe. The service staff are in constant motion with everyone wearing multiple hats. The management team has smartly empowered their team to interact with the guests which makes for a very personalized experience. I have been eating here for the last several years and always only experienced the best of what Hoi An has to offer !!

Was recommended to try this place by our hotel. Did not disappoint. Prices were quite high by local standards, but excellent quality food with a Vietnamese/general Asian twist which made a nice change from standard Vietnamise after several days in the Country. Friendly, helpful and very efficient staff. Live music available was not so great, but was coming from a separate room, so not intrusive.

This is not your standard Vietnamese restaurant. The food is strongly based on local produce and flavours but with a Western influence. Every dish we had was full of flavour and different textures.
We shared the prawn mousse wonton to start. Absolutely delicious and served with a peanut based sauce and pickled beetroot. The combination of flavour was stunning.
Mains were both seafood based. One was a mixed fried seafood dish with noodles cooked using their own 5 spice. The other was red snapper with cashews and a tomato, pineapple and green papaya salad with Vietnamese herbs. Both were cooked to perfection and absolutely delicious.
The portion sizes were large, and there were a couple of small appetisers/amuse bouches thrown in free of charge so no room for dessert, unfortunately.
By Vietnamese standards, Mango Mango is quite expensive, but given the quality and the large portion sizes is still good value for money. The three dishes mentioned, plus water, plus 3 local beers came to around 90 Aussie dollars ($65 US).
If you are getting a bit weary of the standard Vietnamese fare, treat yourself to a meal at Mango Mango. We loved it. The best meal we have had in Vietnam so far.

We visited Mango Mango for our last night in Hoi An and was not disappointed. The service was prompt and friendly, the view of the river and street a great backdrop to our night.
The food was outstanding, seafood, duck, noodles; in fact we could have tried much more. Complimentary appetisers coupled with good portion sizes meant that we had no room for dessert. A wonderful feast.
We finished our night with a drink while listening to live music in the bar at the rear.
Highly recommend.

We arrived in Hoi An on New Year's Eve, hearing that Mango Mango was a great place to eat from friends who had visited before. The night was crazy in the Old Town and staff were very friendly and accommodating, letting us share a table with another couple for a good hour or so for dinner. Fresh produce and bright flavours. We look forward to returning again on our trip.

Highlight of Vietnam!!!
From beginning to end, the entire experience is second to none. The food is exquisite, with a delicate and considered menu that is well researched using local produce and blended with flavours that create magic in your mouth.
All the staff are extremely attentive and well trained. We had the honour of meeting the owner, Duc, who clearly puts his heart and soul into his restaurant and is heavily invested in providing a superb experience for his guests.
This restaurant was everything people raved about and more. I would go to Hoi An again to dine here.

Recommended to try Mango Mango a try. Never disappointed us food was top class. If you eat inside upstairs then you can see how clean the kitchens are and watch the chefs prepare your meals. Well worth the visit. Sat on the balcony with drink and food watching the world go by. Wish we had been told earlier then we would have gone back.

We had Spring Rolls, a beef vermicelli salad and a seafood noodle dish. The Spring rolls were fried, which surprised us. The beef salad was very good with lots of fresh herbs. The seafood noodle dish had the thick, Hoi an type noodles and a kind of tomato base with Parmesan cheese on top. It wasn’t the best combination, kind of like a marinara sauce with Hoi An noodles. Not a successful fusion. We were looking for Vietnamese instead of a fusion of styles so it may have been a poor choice of restaurant on our part. Staff was also interrupting a little to often asking if we were enjoying the food. On the other hand, they were quite attentive as the restaurant was not full.

The food itself was very good but the portions weren't that big. We ordered some water, expecting to be served mineral water just like in every other restaurant we had been in other Vietnamese cities and towns, but without checking with us, they brought us a super expensive imported bottle of water. They had opened it beforehand so we couldn't tell them to take it back or anything. We ended up paying more for the water than for the 3 dishes combined. Be careful if you go here and make sure to check and ask how much the water costs before ordering, or just order a beer which will cost 80% less.

Our staff's goal is to make each and every customer feel as though they are the most important person sitting in our restaurant. Our service team is trained to ask each and every customer if they would like sparkling or still water and we have no issues if you refuse something after you've ordered it.

We had a really excellent dinner starting with a fresh drink and followed by a taster on the house, a starter a main and dessert. Everything that was brought to us was nice presented and very tasty. Lots of effort had been put in to bring forward the flavour in the food.

Would give 6 stars if we could 😍
We had squidgetty and Daisy’s Farm to start, then In the Mood For Love seared tuna & Dances with Ducks.
The tuna was the best thing we have both eaten all year (it’s end of Dec). Each ingredient is so thoughtful and the tastes blend seamlessly. I wasn’t so keen on Dances with Duck but I don’t like sweet food. Incredible Vietnamese fusion food. And good wine.
Wait staff knowledgeable and attentive. Live music unintrusive but brings a chill vibe.

My husband and I had an unexpectedly terrific dinner at Mango Mango in Hoi An Our best meal there. We sat on the second floor overlooking the mass of tourists and lanterns and the din of all having a good time. The food was excellent as was the service which was also delightful. There is a large open kitchen on this floor so you can watch the cooking staff at work. All Women!

Pros:
* Great setting, especially if you can be seated outside. We booked in advance to be facing the promenade by the river.
* try the orange mojito, pretty in pink and sunset tangerine drinks
* the rocking rolls were decent
* I enjoyed my seafood noodles
* my wife did better with her eastern gems rice with chicken
* good service though we probably would have had a dessert if they’d have approached us after our main course
Cons:
* we paid upwards of đ3,000,000 for this meal for a family of four. The next night we paid đ1,235,000 for a similar meal, both in quality and size, less than a quarter of a mile away. It’s a heck of a difference just for the location.
* the “as good as it gets” doesn’t live up to its billing. It’s ok but nothing more.
Good but you can do just as well nearby for less.

Outstanding meal, one of the best I have had in Hoi An, in a delightful restaurant on the river front. Staff were efficient and helpful.
The food was inventive & very tasty. The stuffed prawn mousse wontons with the herbs & caramelised sauce were great. Followed this with the red snapper fillets with the 5 spices and pineapple salsa was delicious. Finished with the outstanding passion fruit brûlée in the passion fruit shell, the best.

If you're looking for a bit more of an upmarket fusion meal, mango mango is the one. The food was vietnamese with a twist. I had the mango fandango cocktail which was delicious and the shining shrimp (I think) which was so so good. Pho for a main, never disappoints. We did have a couple of locals try to sell us some bits as we were sat outside, but didn't feel hassled! Overall would definitely recommend. Compared to the other restaurants it's a little pricey, (but you get what you pay for). Ideal for a last meal before returning home. Thanks for a great evening!
