We came for happy hour drinks and had the best time. It poured rain and we sat alongside the river. The service was fast and the drinks were great... and super cheap! Would highly recommend for drinks

Staff was not very friendly, food was unexciting / tasteless and it was the first time we have been disappointed of a meal in Vietnam after 2 weeks. Don't stop here, there are much nicer restaurants in town!

Food arrived 50min late, unpolite waiters, and the food was way too less and not worth the prive. Stay away

In a town where the cuisine is spectacular, Cafe Can falls short. Located on the riverfront, with a beautiful setting and a pleasantly designed dining space, the food, in terms of the menu choices, was unimaginative, the service mediocre, the beer was lukewarm (until I asked for a very cold one) and the whole experience was disappointing. A shame. The... More

We dined at Cafe Can and really enjoyed our meal and service. Tim (the co owner) offered us a private bike tour of hoi an after we'd had a few drinks. It was way over priced at $33USD per person. Having lived in vietnam for a while now I am familiar with the prices, but we thought we'd go ahead... More

We could not be happier. The service and welcoming staff made our last night in Hoi An. Sitting peacefully by the river with chatter from the staff. We learnt more about the beautiful country. Our food was fresh, very tasty and very well priced. And as for the beer, yes it was COLD, very cold.

I stopped here because I was hungry and had not read the reviews- I ordered fried rice with pork and garlic squid- the rice was bland and gritty- the pork dry and fatty the vegetables in the rice did not taste fresh they tasted like frozen packet veggies. The squid was over cooked and chewy and had way to much... More

We always find it a bit tricky to find somewhere that will fill all of our kids up, so we read the menu and decided to give Cafe Can a try. We were more than satisfied with the service and the food. The drinks weren't great (pineapple juice watered down and mojito light on for booze) but overall, we were... More

I'm baffled by the bad reviews - this was a relaxed spot with a great view. Maybe not super authentic (pizza on the menu) but the white rose dumplings were tasty, and the grilled fish was the best I'd tasted in a long while - simple, fresh and delicious.

Don't know what all these negative reviews are about. Staff were lovely, fish was excellent and prices in line with what we expected. Location also ideal. Funny that most of the negative reviews comment on 'western' foods like guacamole that weren't up to their standards. Highly recommended.
