We've eaten at loads of places in Turkey and this is the best we have had by a country mile. The setting is magical and the food is fantastic.

Have stayed in the Kaya valley on and off for over 6 years but never visited this tucked away charming garden restaurant until August this year. It only needed one visit and after that we became regulars. The family is run by a husband and wife and it is their first year there. All I can say is that I... More

A lovely garden restaurant tucked away in the shadow of Kayakoy. Food was good as was service despite us arriving slightly late after getting carried away with a beautiful sunset whilst strolling around the ghost village. Great fish and a lovely meze starter. Good wine list too, had a delicious crisp white which was just what we needed after a... More

Visited here twice for dinner and two other times for drinks during our holiday. The setting was delightful, the food was delicious and the staff/owners charming, attentive without being intrusive. Eleanor the pet goat was delightful and entertained the children in our group. As the sunset the deserted village looked even more atmospheric than ever. It is a must visit...we'll... More

Stayed for a week in Kaya valley and ate here twice. It's amazing, food is fantastic and hard to beat in my opinion. The place is elegant without being pretentious. The owner and his wife are lovely friendly people, service is relaxed but efficient, they offered us a lift to and from the restaurant on our second visit. I can... More

Kayakoy is worth a visit by anyone in the area, and of several good restaurants in the town, this is the best in terms of quality of food, setting, service and standards. In a group of four adults and two children, we ate here twice over our holiday and were all delighted both times. The meze, the sea bass with... More

Stopped here for a cold drink after visiting Kayakoy. Such a peaceful location, surrounded by trees and flower. Lovely swing seats. Enjoyed a freshly squeezed orange juice with ice. Best we have ever had. The toilets are very clean with lovely accessories. When we go back to Turkey next year we will go back to Sarnic as they also serve... More

I happened to be walking in the Kayakoy ruins and ran into this gem of a restaurant. The music playing and the backdrop of the ghost town behind was fitting and absolutely wonderful. The owners were a young couple and were very attentive and helpful. The food was good but the atmosphere and scenery was the creme de la creme.... More

We came across Sarnic after walking around the old ghost village and stopped off for some fresh orange juice and a ice cream for our son. We decided that we would return one evening for a meal. The couple running Sarnic are very pleasant and helpful and could not do more for you. The night of our meal, we picked... More

We called in at this restaurant for a late lunch after a hot but enjoyable ramble round the ancient, mostly ruined and abandoned, village of Kayakoy, the inspiration for Louis de Bernieres' town in his book 'Birds without Wings'. Relaxing with a drink in a canopied garden swing was a welcome break after our exhausting morning; we were the only... More
