The Kervan is on the main street in Bergama. If you go there, don't expect street barkers, or tourist oriented hype. Rather, you'll find well cooked Turkish favorites in large portions at very reasonable prices. The staff is efficient and service is prompt. This restaurant is a favorite of locals so fills up quickly. No alcohol is served.

My wife and I were walking down the main road in Bergama after seeing the acropolis and picked this place because it was the only one without "street barkers" trying to drag you into their establishment. Upon walking in we were we greeted by a locals only feel with about 10 older men waiting for the soccer game to start.... More

A small but pleasant cafe on the main road into the town of Begama. The food is good, standard Turkish cooking, in quite large portions. The seating is mainly outdoor and very pleasant as it is slightly set back from the road. The service was quick and the staff pleasant and polite. Basically good value for money and unpretentious. Recommended.

The best of the 3 places we tried in Bergama. Delicious food and nice terrace on the main street.

Good food, absolutely turkish, no foreigners, no groups, cheap and optimal services. Pides and kebabs are really nice. Dont' worry if the personnel does not speak English, they can help you to choose the foods ! The restaurant is also indicated on the Lonely Planet guide and it's easy to reach (on the principal bulevard of Bergama).

If you want great Turkish food such as excellent kebabs, this place next door to the Gobi Hotel is superb and really good value. Get there early if you want a table outside.
