They use local and fresh ingredients, all menus that made of shrimp paste are superb. If you're foreigners, some menus may be too spicy for you but this is the original and delicious taste for Thai people. A must visit restaurant in Phuket!

Beautifully located just outside the Gibbon Rehab centre. Up in the trees. A lot of special special thai dishes. The most delicious food at Phuket. Lots of locals. Cheep! A must go!

This is one of Phuket's best authentic local restaurant. Prices are reasonable (at least when I was there). But to get there, you need transport. It's on the east coast off Highway 4027, next to Bang Pae (or Bang Toey) Waterfalls. On Google Maps, the place is called Piang Prai Restaurant. On Apple Map, the restaurant is spelled as Phiang... Due to the restaurant locate outside the city. We can feel fresh and close to the nature. Good Thai local food. They have all such as Kang Som, Khua Kling, Kang Poo, Moo Hong, all delicious. The staffs are very friendly and good at service.

We have been dining at this restaurant every time we visit Phuket, over 8 years. The only thing that's changed is the size of the rest. The family who started is still hands on serving the customers with a smile. They have unique dishes you must try, one of our favorite is Rhoom, owners speak fluent English just in case... More

I have eaten at this restaurant for 10 years soon. At first this was a small restaurant, where mom stirred the pots, dad kept the place tidy and the kids took care of guests. Now it has grown considerably, but the food is still delicious and well prepared, same before, although on the pricier side now compared with earlier. I... More

Located about 15km (10 minutes) from Heroines Monument on the road to Ao Po this place is up a side road leading to Bang Pae waterfall, the national park and the Gibbon's Sanctuary. Ao Po is on the east coast, head towards Pa Klok to find it. The food is great and the view is over a little lake, you... More

This is worth the trip here. The service was great and the food was superb. Very cheap. True Thai food run by husband and wife team. So glad we found this place. Free fried banana desert after your meal. Highly recommend.
