Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Irish Times Pub is located in the shopping centre area. I visited for a Sunday roast and I had a fantastic roast here! They accommodated my needs in advance, which was much appreciated. The pumpkin soup was absolutely delicious, and the whole venue was well put together. I loved the whiskey barrel tables and the saloon style toilet doors. The toilets were clean, but my pet hate is cubicles that are too small where you have to try and squeeze in.
The staff were very accommodating, and there were plenty around, which made service smooth. The food came quickly, which was a nice surprise, especially for a busy Sunday.
To finish, the apple pie was the ideal ending to the meal, warm and comforting with just the right amount of sweetness. I considered getting a Guinness, but at that price, I thought I might need to find a pot of gold at the end of a rainbow first.
Overall, a great experience, and I would definitely recommend it.

From the outset the exterior of the Irish times is well presented with a nice facade and external seating. The interior doesn’t disappoint with great decor and feel with decent air conditioning. Booth dining is available which made it quite comfortable. Great selection of meals, I had chicken Parma with chips which was an interesting twist on the traditional Parma, my companion had bangers and mash. Both meals rated highly. Staff can speak English well and were not overbearing. Highly recommend for European meals

The pub is in the food section of Jungceylon. It is traditional Irish layout inside and out. Staff welcomed us upon entry and gave us a menu and took drinks order. It was about 11am but the place was not busy. We ordered English breakfasts which were very good and good value.Service wasn't fast but it was worth waiting for. I would return.

Nice & clean, staff were pleasant and efficient but unfortunately the food let the experience down. We ordered the all day breakfast eggs were really “ snotty “ and inedible, god knows what the sausage was and don’t get me started on the fatty bacon. Nice coffee though.

If you are looking for a roast on a Sunday, you cannot get better than the carvery at this pub!
The carvery included roast lamb, roast beef, roast ham, roast pork and roast chicken. The trimmings induced roast potato’s, Yorkshire pudding, cauliflower cheese, carrots, red cabbage and peas! Truly scrumptious!

To be charged 643 baht for 2 drinks is a disgrace which is 15 pounds in British money. . Talk about getting ripped off . . All because yous are in a shopping centre . Wasn't long in telling others about the prices . Food was ok but the fish wasn't upto much as my girlfriend couldn't even eat it .

Sunday Roast is mediocre! Cold plates, tasteless chewy meats, not the Real Thing! I wasted my time getting there from a long way for nothing… best to eat in one of the so many other restaurants in that area.

Asked for a pint of magners first attempt bar staff tried to give me 3/4 of a pint had to ask him too top it up to the top he put a drain into it had to explain I asked for a full pint
Eventually he got the message then was robbed without a balaclava 340bath for the privilege around €10
I know it’s imported but temple bar prices are ridiculous for Phuket
Got the same pint in pattaya for 190bath
& yes it was an Irish pub
Won’t be back to the Irish times bar anytime soon

After thinking about going to a steakhouse amid great reviews which is opposite this bar and having an immediate bad experience, we wandered over to here with my wife and 2 young boys. Immediately I felt warm and at home, good atmosphere, an immediate response from the owner to say they were short staffed but take a seat and they would look after us ASAP. The beer arrived quickly, and at a great price "99 baht" all day every day! I ordered the striploin steak and waited an acceptable time considering they said they were short staffed. The steak was cooked exactly how I like it (medium rare) and every element to the meal was well executed except for the peppercorn sauce which I felt could have had a bit more kick to it but I feel this way about most peppercorn sauces.
Service was excellent considering and even though I didn't feel that I was delayed in any way, the owner still gave me a shot on the house when I went to pay to apologise for the slow service.
Now that is what makes you want to go back and I thank the owners for them showing how to look after their customers. Well done!

We were hesitant about coming here after reading some of the reviews but we are so glad we didn’t listen to them! The carvery roast which they do on a Sunday was amazing and exactly what we wanted. Staff and owners were all lovely and friendly towards us. We had no problems with service or food at all!

I was alone, sitting and had to wait like 15-20 minutes for a beer; and almost 50 minutes for a Thai soup. The service is just EMBARASSING !!
