Next Door to Sofitel and much tastier than what Sofitel thai restaurant will provide. This is no nonsense local place that lives of Sofitel guests. It's definitely a good and tasty offer at great value. It's not thai spicy strength so no need to worry about quenching fires.

So you stay at the Sofitel, have eaten in their outlets, don't feel like driving farther, and want something "different": you are the target customer for this restaurant. 200m on the side of the main entrance, walk along the road or the beach. They even hung an A4 sign outside the hotel with the TripAdvisor logo to get you there.... More

The food was always great and the service nice. The restaurant is directly at the street so may be a bit noisy but we didn´t care as it was close to our hotel and directly across the beach.

We were staying at the Sofitel in low season, October. We tried most of the walking distance restuarants - 600 metres or so from the Sofitel. Most were satisfactory, nothing specila but a cheap chnage from the Sofitel. The best we tried was the Simanta. It had the freshest food of all - by far. We enjoyed many dishes, none... More

Simanta is right next to the golf course at Sofitel where we are staying, so it is convenient for a lunch break as the lunch options at Sofitel are limited. It is nicer to sit upstairs to catch the breeze and to look at the beach and sea views. The setting is fairly basic and the staff are friendly. The... More

We spent 2 days on this wonderful stretch of beach, opposite the Sofitel and north of the Sheraton. The beach was so peaceful, and we lunched at Simanta both days. The food was excellent, very Thai, but cooked to order for our children spice wise. We sat on the upper floor, so great views....much discussion on safety of overhead Thai... More

Try the fried fish with tamarind sauce, taste so good. My kids loves it. The owner is a nice person. And she cooked all the food by herselves.

I must give credit for their personalized service in picking us up from our hotel (nearby) just to give us a wonderful dining experience! Friendly staff and delicious food served at a very reasonable price. Must try if you are staying at Sofitel resort.

Simanta restaurant in Krabi is the best Thai restaurant we have ever tried, and we have tried many. It's situated next to Sofitel just after the golf course. Try it and I promisse you will not be dissapointed. This restaurant was the highlight of our holiday, including the Sofitel hotel. It might not look much from the outside, quite simple... More
