Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

LOVE this place so much that we ate there every night! Mostly surrounded by locals, we knew this was going to be something — and it was. While we avoided salads, every hot dish (we ate 5 different ones every night) were fantastic. Fish cakes,...curry, noodles, stir fried greens, fried rice…the lot! Cold Singha. We worked hard to spend $US20. And the staff are friendly and helpful. Stay as long as you like…they don’t clear the dishes until you pay and leave.More

This is a wonderful, authentic Thai restaurant. Amazing prices, everything is delicious and staff are friendly. You must try their smoothies as well. The name is Google is ZAB ZAB so if you want to know how to get there, simply search it by this...name. A must while in Kan.More

Excellent meal. When we arrived we saw the other customers were mainly Thai...a great sign. We ordered prawn with asparagus - delicious, fried papaya with dip - wow, medium fried rice, crispy pork and kale - husband recommends. Very friendly service and good, clean toilets...too. Best meal on our trip so far!More

We ate at this restaurant 5 times during our 9 night stay near the Bridge over the River Kwai area……. Should probably have been more times as other places tried in the area didn’t compare (Kan Buri and Ave to mention just two). The range...of dishes is vast. It is easy to order with a picture menu and they ask you to write down your order for them. The prices are extremely reasonable (as borne out by the fact we were often the only foreigners in the packed restaurant) and the service was efficient and friendly. My husband said the shrimps he had (and he had them in several ways) were the best he has ever had, I had asparagus with shrimp together with shrimp fried rice and totally agree. The chicken and cashew was excellent, loads of whole cashews which is not always the case. The pad Thai was a little strongly flavoured for my western taste but that is a small thing. The yummy fried papaya salad (very crisply deep fried and served with a dipping sauce) we unfortunately only found towards our visit visit. Fruit shakes are great and fresh coconuts, and of course local beer, are also available, Can’t recommend highly enough.More

We ended up at Zeb Zeb the second week of June because in this early post-Covid reopening phase, none of the top rated vegetarian restaurants were open. We went with low expectations after a long and tiring day and ordered 7 dishes plus sodas and...sticky rice, had food left over and the entire bill was less than 700baht. Some dishes were vegetarian others were not. All were good and came right away although admittedly, the restaurant was not busy. We talked about trying some place else our second night but in the end went back to Zeb Zeb because we knew there was such good variety for our mixed vegetarian and meat-eater needs. The were very kind to us both nights and were happy to create vegetarian versions of dishes that were normally not. We had a great time both nights and would recommend it to anyone.More

We ate here on our way back to the railway station from the main road in Kanchanaburi. If you’re getting the train back and planning to eat here, make sure you give yourself plenty of time as it is very popular. But you can see...why, as the food is so tasty and the portion sizes are excellent (and I eat a lot!). The food is also cheap and very reasonably priced. The staff here don’t seem to be the most welcoming but they’re alright. There’s free WiFi available here. All in all would definitely recommend eating here on an afternoon if in Kanchanaburi.More

I cant believe this place has so many good reviews. Food is very mediocre. Service us very poor. The prices are good hence 2 instead of 1 stars.

The place was packed for dinner so I understand the rather cold welcome. But the food was dynamite... and its so cheap. I got 2 dishes, a large water and a fruit shake for 175B. I left with a full stomach with the hopes of...getting hungry and going back.More

Great place to eat great Thai food at very reasonable prices, food is very tasty and there are lots of different dishes to choose from - try the marinated pork strips, chicken in garlic/pepper and papaya salad with pork. But everything we tried was good....Don’t be afraid to over order, as the portions are smaller, but fantastic value.More

I walked up to this restaurant because my go to place in town was closed for new years. Turns out, this is a very good restaurant. Tables inside (20b service fee for AC) and outside, seating for 4-12. The place was packed with locals at...lunchtime, a good sign in my book. Large menu with photos and English names. Good selection of juices/smoothies. I had lemon juice and it was perfectly tart and not too sweet. Larb with pork was spiced just right, very flavourful, and included slices of liver. Very tasty. With sticky rice, the total came to 105b, very reasonable for a sit-down restaurant in this area. Server spoke English. Free wifi. Location is pretty good, a bit of a walk from the main action on River Kwae Road, but not too far. I will definitely come back to this place and try some other dishes. More

We came because it's highly rated for vegetarian food. Not really sure why. Food was average. Service was poor and the staff seemed miserable. There are much better options. On's, for example

This place was recommended to us by the owners of Oriental Kwai for some local flavour. We ordered spring rolls, noodles and curry.... all was good and not expensive. Well worth the visit!

Very busy, but they found us a table. Gave us a notepad to write our order. Got lovely fresh, cold coconuts to drink. Admittedly the delivery of the food is haphazard. Table next to us, who ordered after us, got their food way before us....But have to say once the food arrived, all at different times, it was worth the wait. Food was excellent. We had the asparagus with shrimp, yum cooked perfectly, asparagus al dente. Then had the fried rice with shrimp, so fresh and tasty. Then finished with the papaya salad with crispy pork, so good. Best meal so far in Thailand. And total cost was AUD 13. Last night we paid AUD 90 for a very average meal.More
