Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I had the massaman with beef and the rad na with chicken. The massaman was alright but the rad na was completely tasteless. It was so bad that this was the first time during my two weeks in Thailand where I had to leave a...dish after just a few bites. The waitress suggested that this was not a dish typically preferred by tourists and that I probably would have liked the rice dishes better. I have eaten in many different places in Thailand including various street kitchens and the Thai food has always tasted great until I ate at Peppers. They charge 59 baht for a small bottle of water of their own brand (U Hotels and Resorts) and 177 baht (including service charge and tax) for a glass of orange juice. Maybe I am naive but for that price I thought it would be freshly squeezed but when I asked the waitress, she confirmed that they just pour it from a juice box. I noticed because it tasted exactly like the orange juice I got the same morning from the self service dispensers at their (U Inchantree’s) breakfast buffet. Judged on the food and prices alone, this should be a 1-star review but they get another one for a perfect location right by the river and besides from one waitress’ awkward attempt to explain the bad food, the service was very fast and polite and they get another one for that.More

We stayed in the hotel where this restaurant is located and stopped in for dinner. It is an open air restaurant by the water so mosquitos and bugs were an issue but we were provided with repellant spray. Happy hour was a bit strange requiring...you to buy 2 drinks to get 1 free. We had margs (small and just okay) and mojitos (taste also just okay). All the portions were tiny with corresponding large prices for Thailand. We ordered the pumpkin soup (delicious), French onion soup (needs to be in a crock with a lot more cheese), wagyu beef burger, salad (avocados were hard as a rock and inedible) and pasta (was cold instead of piping hot). Steak fries were hot and delicious. Taste wise food was good for the most part. They do charge you a 10% service charge and give you a credit card receipt with a space for additional tip.More

Great view and friendly staff (bad English though). Also a lot of mosquittos, since it is located right next to the river. The food was good, nothing special and everything was really overpriced.

The location of this place is amazing, would highly recommend getting here in time for sunset as they are beautiful every night here! The food here was good, a mix of Thai and western food although not very much for vegetarians to eat. The prices...were reasonable but not mega cheap. The staff are very friendly.More

We were staying at Uinchantree, so thought we would try Peppers on the first night. We ordered 2 gin and tonics, stays, grilled prawns, a curry and rice, sticky rice for dessert. It was OK, the prawns the biggest disappointment. Totally overcooked, such a shame...as they were lovely big ones. Had to ask for a finger bowl and napkins as it was a messy business peeling them. Service was OK. Overall an average, expensive experience. AUD 90.More

This restaurant is under "U Inchantree Kanchanaburi Hotel", we are entitled to 2 glasses of free cocktails for joining their River Kwai Boat Trip at 1699 baht for 2 persons. Anyway, their cocktail is price around 200baht per glass. The restaurant is facing the River...Kwai, great place for breakfast while enjoying the magnificent view. Breakfast buffet has a wide range of variety from Chinese (Dim Sum, Congee and etc), Thai and European choices. Staffs are extremely effective, friendly and passionate about their job.More

We were staying at the Hotel so we decided to dine at the restaurant. The venue overlooks the river and you can see the bridge. The staff were very friendly and helpful throughout the night. The Western food was really good which was surprising, however...we found the Thai food fairly toned down for the western pallet. Nevertheless a good experiance as it was a lovely settingMore

I have dined here before and thought i would take my uncle and my mother as i was very impressed on my first visit.'Big mistake" the food was average and the service non existant. The staff were nowhere to be seen, if you wanted a...drink or food you actually had to get up and look for staff. I sat and watched everyone in the restaurant deal with the same problem. The restaurant has gone down hill since my last visit and I would not recommend it.I was a little embarrassed that I had raved to my family about how good it was. There are some great restaurants in Kanchanaburi and this is no longer one of them.More

I really enjoyed the food, it is quite pricey for the area but the service was good. I would recommend bringing mosquito spray as you are right next to the river.

We were staying in the hotel so was an obvious choice of venue for an evening meal. It is a wonderful location on the river with a great view of 'the bridge'. The food was traditional Thai and was excellent. Service was excellent but you...come to expect that in Thailand and overall, my wife and I, a very enchanting evening.More

We stayed at the U Ichantree for two nights and ate at the Peppers Restaurant on our first night. We were not disappointed. Service was spot on and, although as you might expect, it was a little more expensive than local restaurants, the food was...fantastic! The location is also lovely on the banks of the Kwai. Highly recommended!More
