Best pork and rice in Chiang Rai. Disappointed that we found this place on our last day as I would have loved to eat there again. Sizing was very generous and had so much yummy sauce!

We walked past many time sand this restaurant was always busy. As well as selling to passers by they prepare a really large number of packaged lunches. The primary dishes are road duck or pork with rice and cucumber. Noodle soups are also very popular....The constant stream of patrons is evidence of the quality of the food. If you want roast duck I suggest going around 11am as it always seems sold out after this time. Don’t expect luxury dining just good clean local restaurant. The resaturant shuts at 2pm and the day is over. The meals are served with fresh chilled chives which are a great accompaniment. Two meals of pork and rice, plus a drink each, came to 160 baht. Really good value and great taste.More

I have been eating at this place for many years now and have seen the children of the shop owners grow up into adults. This mom and pop shop very close to the Night Bazaar along Pahol Yothin road is the second generation of owners...and it looks like their children will take over management of this very popular restaurant. Their specialty is the crispy pork on rice, Hainanese Chicken pilaf, a seasoned pork on rice dish and a very savory egg noodle and rendered pork rib. Seating is limited on the ground floor. There is more seating space on the smaller room upstairs which is air-conditioned. A typical meal would cost you somewhere from 50 to 60 baht - which is very cheap. Some of their Burmese staff can communicate in English which is very convenient if you do not speak a word of Thai. One thing I noticed with this shop is that their staff turnover is very low. My guess is that they treat their staff quite well. I see many styrofoam cartons for called in orders - which I take as a reflection of this restaurants good reputation. The Quality of their food has never changed because the owners themselves are ALWAYS on the frontline - doing most of the job of preparing the food. There are a few other trusted longtime employees who can pinch hit when the owners are not available. I really like this place and will continue to patronize it.More
